What is LAND POLLUTION ?

• Land pollution is pollution of the Earth’s natural land surface by industrial, commercial, domestic and agricultural activities.

• “Land pollution can also be defined as the introduction of substances, biological organisms, or energy into the soil that will lead to a change in the quality of soil so that plant growth and animal health is adversely affected”

water.•  Emission of toxic gases (from dumped solid wastes on

land) is detrimental to health.• Soil erosion occurs due to shifting cultivation &

Poisoning of the ecosystem.

REMIDIAL STEPS

Recycling -- It is to convert wastes into new products.

e.g -> Glass,metal, plastic, textiles

RECYCLING

3R’s

People should be educated and made aware about the harmful effects of littering. Discuss with friends and family and talk about it. Reuse any items that you can. Items like clothing, bottles, wrapping paper and shopping bags can be used over and over again, rather than buying.

Composting-- It is microbial process used to treat biodegradeable.

E.g -> plant waste, food, paper ,wood

Composting via Earthworms.

COMPOSTING

Incineration->It is a process to liberate the energy in waste by combustion.

Eg.- Plastic, textiles ,paper ,leather,rubber etc.

CONCLUSIONEvery year we waste a lot of garbage but we didn't think ever of recycling or any method.Just to say or explain is not a solution of any kind of pollution.This presentation is not only an assignment but it is a warning to all to stop Polluting the environment.
