ASSEMBLEY INSTRUCTIONS

Locate all of the bundles required to build the SSD10521 or SSD10521E boat hoist. Remove the hardware from the bundles, then sort all nuts, bolts, and hardware by size. Base Pad and Adjustable Leg AssemblySee Detail 1

Corner Post Installation See Diagram B, Detail 2, Page 2

1. The two longer upright winch post legs are to be installed on the same end of the hoist as shown in Diagram B. Identify the correct leg as shown in Detail 1, then slide the extrusion mounted to the bottom of the leg into the cross frame. Place a flat washer onto a 3/8” x 4 ½” hex bolt, then insert into the hole closest to the post attaching the cross frame to the leg. Secure with a 3/8” flange lock nut on the bottom side of the cross frame.2. Place a flat washer onto a 3/8” x 5” hex bolt, then insert it into the remaining hole attaching the cross frame to the leg. DO NOT INSTALL the nut on the bottom side at this point. It will be installed when the truss system is installed to the cross frame. 3. Slide the other leg of the extrusion into the side frame until the holes line up. Place a 3/8” flat washer onto two 3/8” x 4 ½” hex bolt, then insert them into the holes attaching the side frame to the leg. Secure with a 3/8” flange lock nut on the bottom side of the side frame on each bolt.

1. Locate the base pads and the base pad channels. Assemble the base pads to the base pad channels using 3/8” x ¾” hex bolts and hex lock nuts. Tighten.2. Fasten the base pad channels to the adjustable leg shipped inside the upright post using a ½” x 4 ½” hex bolt. Secure with a ½” flange lock nut by threading on only until two threads are extended through the nut. This will lock the nut from coming off and also allow the base pad channel to pivot on the adjustable leg.

Lower Frame Assembly See Diagram C. Lower Frame Member Placement

1. Locate the five lower frame members. Note that there are three different lengths. The center and side frames are partially assembled at the factory. Identify them as shown in Diagram C paying specific attention to the hole locations. Identify them as follows: A. The cross frames have two holes drilled towards the center of the tubes and are the longest at 107 inches. B. The side frames are the shortest and have the platform pivots already mounted on one side. They must be positioned so the platform leg pivot holes are to the inside as shown and are at the same end of the frame work. C. The two center frame tubes are assembled together with the platform legs attached. They will be positioned and installed later.
