SSCI Operations in La Union

As the BPO industry continues to grow in the Philippines, more and more companies are experiencing market saturation and talent scarcity especially in Metro Manila. This is why SSCI has consciously and decisively chosen its center of operations in San Fernando, La Union.

Why San Fernando La Union? ü Center of trade, commerce, government, and education in the prosperous Region 1/Ilocos Region. ü Booming metropolis of the North, only 3.5 hours drive from Manila via Expressway and 45 minutes via airplane to the San Fernando International Airport. ü Has an established telecommunication and fiber optic network infrastructure. Bauang, La Union which is the town beside San Fernando, is the submarine landing station for the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. ü With the Cordillera Mountain Range to its east, it has the lowest risk in climate disasters in the Philippines particularly with typhoons and floods. ü The highest population growth rate in the country, with 87 public and private universities and 96% literacy rate.

Spencer Cat3 Op Center

•  Located in the city center of Catbangen, the Op Center is in the heart of San Fernando. •  Currently carries a capacity of 80

seats across a 24/7 Operation. Located on the National Highway, it is easily accessible to employees, applicants and visitors. •  Supplied by 2 major bandwidth

providers – PLDT and Globe Telecom on a fiber leased line and dedicated connection.

•  The facility can operate even with full loss of commercial power through backup generator power.

•  The facility is equipped with a staff house that provides employees with a place to sleep in cases of emergencies and disasters, has a fully operational kitchen, pantry and bathroom facilities, as well as employee recreational areas during breaks and recognition events.

Spencer Future Op Centers

•  The Madrigal Perez Building located across the Don Mariano Marcos State University and also along the National Highway is walking distance from the currently operational Cat3 Op Center. This facility has a capacity of 200 seats and can be operational in 6 weeks if needed.

•  The SVL Building located in San Juan is also a potential growth area. It is located in the surfing town of San Juan, North of San Fernando. This facility can house 100 seats and can be operational in 6-8 weeks.

Spencer is looking at making itself a presence in San Fernando and La Union. 3 future Op Centers have been identified to fuel this growth

•  The Spencer Building located in the Poro Point Freeport Zone Area is set to be completed by December 2015. This Op Center can host 350 seats and will be the Operational Flagship of the company.

Current Shared Service Solutions Campaigns

•  Inbound Customer Services campaign for a multimedia and online retail company based out of Colorado, USA.

•  Associates assist customers with requests for refunds, cancellations and updates on their orders.

•  Ranked number 1 among all vendor sites for quality and for total number of calls handled.

•  Current Headcount is at 35 FTE with a ramp up to 50 expected by Q3. The campaign works across an 11x7 schedule.

•  We recently won a new campaign that will take inbound sales calls for another similar retail company. There are 5 FTE currently in training.

Current Social Media Expertise Campaign

•  Research is done for insurance company claims in the United States through social media.

•  Points of Interest are identified and reports are generated to verify and validate their claims.

•  The program has grown from 5 FTE to 16 FTE and will grow to 40 FTE by Q4.

•  Despite being new, we have already earned the distinction of having the best quality and highest output. This resulted in the closure of one of our competitors due to better value from Spencer.
