SSB PROCEDURE

The nation’s prestigious Service Selection Board (SSB) for selection

of officers in the armed forces – Army, Navy and Air Force is

conducted in three stages for 5 days. The details of the SSB

procedure are given below.

Stage I

ACC entrance exam study materials

The ACC entrance exam procedure (New Pattern) is given below: Written test

1. Paper 1 – General Mental ability test (GMAT) 2. Paper 2 – Current & General awareness test (CGAT) 3. Paper 3 – Interactive Communicative English (ICE) 4. Paper 4 – Academic Content Test (ACT)

Each paper will be of 300 marks and 3 hrs duration. All papers are objective type paper except paper 3 (ICE), which will be partly descriptive. The Pilot Aptitude Battery tests consist of two parts

• Part I – Instrument test (On basic Air Craft Instrument reading) you

will be shown examples prior to taking this test.

• Part II - Machine test. (To judge if the candidate can control simple joy

stick and rudder controls.)

You will be given a set of five instruments on the left hand side and will be

asked to read the instruments and pick out the correct choice from multiple

choice answers

Total Question 60 - Time 35 minutes (Approximate)

You will be shown sample pictures

Sample problems before commencement of the test

Part II- Machine Test

a) Controlling Dot for 90 seconds with in a square of 1 inch.

b) The dot moves randomly and you will be required to control the

movement by using Joy stick and Peddle movement

c) For this a car game on PC will be sufficient
