All our collection reflects the brand and the philosophy of Meltin’Pot jeans and never more than with this new season where “Denim and its authentic way” is a core inspiration behind the iconic section of the collection. A new concept of modern vintage! This theme is carried across an array of treatments, vintage originals that feature which are complimented by a range of tops that also feature references from today’s urban contemporary world.

Workwear is another key theme and something that has remained a core influence behind of all Meltin’Pot collections and this season is no different, as we see the introduction of purple indigo denim, this resin, coated colour is totally inspired by workwear!Some other core basics include revised labeling and pocket design, which have both evolved to compliment the new contemporary model or fit. A new “selvage stitching” on the back pocket is also another distinctive feature of the icons collection.

Fabrics

A new range of premium denim fabrics together with innovative washes, thanks to the most advanced manufacturing technology and Romano’s industry expertise feature across all areas of the collection. Selvedge denim in different colours from grey to ecru’ is also a strong feature and fabric trend. Denims are also low weight and almost all comfort super soft.

Treatments

This season like no other sees an explosion of new treatments and washes in line with the brand’s identity and a reminder of who we are in terms of embracing the latest technology within the industry! This season’s washes range from a classic dark almost no washes to shades of indigo and snow white and white grey bleached out effects. Treatments from the “Used Classic Vintage destroyed through to over-dyes created with rags as oppose to stones and crumple dyeing.

A range of very original, solarized fabric tops feature and the Cotton used seems to have travelled through time, and to have been over-exposed under the sun, just like a garment worn to work outdoors, eroded slowly by the sun.

Pigment effects give sprayed dirty indigos and green casts/

tinted wefts in aged ecru or chalky dust layered looks. A great emphasize on the effects of the use of dyes and special pigments are also very apparent with silver- plating effect and hand bleach fading and double dye marbleizing.

These are combined with surface abrasions, and destruction to give a super aged, authentic vintage look as if they have been well worn in and well loved! Contrast colored wefts also creates two-tone effects when laundered and sanded, giving amazing results.

The workshop section of the collection represents the new frontier of denim, experimentation and to summarize in one word: research. A fine example of this is the new and distinguished laser wash treatment, much sought after grey selvedge denim, which is then treated by hand, thus making each one unique.

Fits

Two historical and timeless Meltin’Pot winning fits, which are the regular fit MP001 and the slim- MP002, have both been subjected to intense experimentation. There is also a continual development of the super slim fit and the high performance fits with the introduction of a power stretch jeans in the new skinny MP003 fit for men. Skinny being the new regular for men and crop is the new Shape! Cropped and pinch rolled hems further enhance tapered shapes also dominate. Chino: An essential part of the collection and one that is complementary to the world of denim. Meltin’Pot continues to develop and further enhance its classic “Chino fit”, reinterpre-ting it with new and contemporary details and playing with the fit. The women’s collection is naturally also inspired by “the authentic” Meltin’Pot that is the DNA of the brand, with unbeatable fits.
