WARNING
Risk of injury from objects falling and being ejected
• The danger zone must be surrounded by a safety fence during operation.
WARNING
Risk of injury when the machine/system moves unexpectedly due to failure of the energy supply or malfunction of the con-troller.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to rotating components! Avoidance: The danger zone must be surrounded by a safety fence during operation.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to loosened parts and destruction of the swi-velling unit due to damaged shock absorbers! Avoidance: Regular inspection of the individual components on wear and damage.
WARNING
Note that suitable emergency-off strategies (e.g. controlled shut down) and restarting strategies (e.g. pressure build-up valves, appropriate valve switching sequences) are needed for all pneumatic actuators. Cutting off the pressure in an uncontrolled manner could lead to undefined states and behavior.

2 Push the magnetic switch into the groove.
3 Move the magnetic switch along the groove until it actuates.
4 Secure the magnetic switch. (see enclosed data sheet)
5 Check the switch position of the magnetic switch by swiveling the module repeatedly.
NOTE We recommend the use of four magnetic switches to monitor the locked center position:
• One sensor each to monitor the two limit positions
• For monitoring approach to the center position from end position 0°
• For monitoring approach to the center position from end position 180°

• Do not pull on the cable.
• Do not allow the sensor to dangle from the cable.
• Do not overtighten the mounting screw or mounting clip.
• Please adhere to the permitted bend radius of the cable. (☞ catalog)
• Avoid contact of the proximity switches with hard objects and with chemicals, in particular nitric acid, chromic acid and sul-phuric acid.
The inductive proximity switches are electronic components, which can react sensitively to high-frequency interference or elec-tromagnetic fields.
• Check to make sure that the cable is fastened and installed cor-rectly. Provide for sufficient clearance to sources of high-frequency interference and their supply cables.
• Parallel switching of several sensor outputs of the same type (npn, pnp) is permissible, but does not increase the permissible load current.
• Note that the leakage current of the individual sensors (ca. 2 mA) is cumulative.

1 Remove the corresponding cover disk on the housing of the SRU-plus.
2 Secure the bracket (5) in the countersink provided for it in the housing, using a hexagon socket screw (8). Caution: Only tighten the hexagon socket screw (7) far enough that the clamping sleeve (6) can still be turned.
3 Turn the pinion counter-clockwise to the corresponding stop/center position.

Note The following steps 4 and 5 only apply for washers with mov-able cams.
4 Undo set-screws (10 and 12) of the control cams (9 and 13). Move the switch cams (9 and 11) until they are positioned to the same height as the corresponding clamping sleeve.
5 Turn the pinion back to the output position and secure the switch cams (9 and 11).
1 Turn the pinion back counter-clockwise to the corresponding stop / center position. (possibly supported by actuating the corresponding air connection)
2 Push the proximity switch into the clamping sleeve (6) as far as possible, and unscrew the sleeve until the proximity switch responds.
3 Tighten the hexagon socket screw (7) until the clamping sleeve (6) no longer turns. The hexagon socket screw (7) grips the clamping sleeve (6) and simultaneously secures the bracket (5) on the rotary actuator.
4 The switching distance has now been set: Tighten the clamp-ing screws (4) until the proximity switch is secured.
5 To change the proximity switches, loosen the clamping screws (4), replace the proximity switches and tighten the clamping screws (4) again.

Servicing and assembling the module
Position of the position numbers ( 10, Page 55)
WARNING
Risk of injury due to spring forces!
• Carefully disassemble the module.
• Thoroughly clean all parts and check for damage or wearing parts.
• Replace all wear parts / seals.
• Treat all lubrication points with lubricant.
• Oil and grease bright, external steel parts.
Assembly takes place in the opposite order to disassembly. Observe the following:
• Do not damage the O-rings (41) during assembly.
• Unless otherwise specified, secure all screws and nuts with Loc-tite no. 243 and tighten with the appropriate tightening torque.
Maintaining the module
Position of the position numbers ( 10.2, Page 59)
• Undo 2x screws (13) and remove the flange (3).
