The New Family Registration for Mobility Sanjeevini helps in maintaining day to day operations of the Rural Maternity and Child Welfare Home center. The Rural Maternity and Child Welfare Home centers provide healthcare facilities to the rural people. The New Family Registration for Mobility Sanjeevini a process of updating the details of the family registration, Socio economic status, Home environment and Member Registration in the Mobility Sanjeevini app which has to be verified by the Community Member of the Community Medicine Department in KMC, about the members personal and health details and accordance with the results of member details are stored in the database. The main aim of New Family Registration Module of Mobility Sanjeevini is to improve the quality of data by reducing redundant data entries and incorrect information in the system and provide proper health care services to the rural people. A lot of time and manual works can be saved with the introduction of this concept. The system is designed to be used by the Field and Center Auxiliary Nurse Midwifes for the proper maintenance of the patient details. This Application makes use of the client-server architecture. It uses Android for front end operations and SQL Server for back end operations.

Chapter 1IntroductionThe Mobility Sanjeevini is an Android based application developed by Manipal University BoP Program in association with Philips to make rural health services more accessible and paperless. It is for designed for field /center ANMs (Auxiliary Nurses Midwives), as an efficient way to manage medical history of patients; it also enhances the accessibility of patient details.Kasturba Hospital, Manipal has been providing free healthcare services to pregnant women and children at its Rural Maternity and Child Welfare Homes (RMCWH) in 6 different villages of Udupi district. This software is helpful for ANMs attached to RMCWH. The main objective of introducing this tool is reduce manual work of ANMs (like carrying files every time to the rural areas and the process of storing it which sometimes led in data loss) and have efficient paperless process. A Sanjeevini project is been designed and developed for RMCWH (Rural Maternity and Child welfare Homes) introduced by Community Medicine Department of KMC. New Family registration for Mobility Sanjeevini helps in controlling the day-to-day operations of the RMCWH. A lot of time and energy can be saved by automating most of the activities of the RMCWH and digitizing the routinely required information. RMCWH provide healthcare facilities to the rural population spread over 12 villages in the coastal areas of the Udupi and Karkala taluk, Karnataka. Over 50000 villagers are cared for through these RMCWH. A network of 6 primary health care centers (RMCWH) located in the villages, provide Maternal and Child Health services under the supervision of the doctors of the Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal. The primary focus of the RMCWH are on pregnant women and children below 5 years. Each RMCWH has 2 employees known as the ANMs (Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife). One is said to be the Centre ANM, who looks after the activities in the RMCWH. Another is the Field ANM, who goes for field visit to each house which comes under the field practice area of that particular RMCWH center and collects community data in the mobile device.RMCWH consist of Web as well as Mobile Applications which holds the pregnant women information in a database. The ANMs have just to enter the information in the computer or in the Mobile device. This reduces the ANMs task of carrying hard copy files to KMC Manipal periodically to update them in the central database maintained at Community Medicine Department in Manipal. This application also improves the healthcare service provided as the travelling time, and manually updating the folders is reduced to a great extent and it makes routine data entry easier, reducing wastage of time and other resources. The application is been developed to maintain health related details and to keep a track on the problems and the disease of the pregnant women in and around the region who visit the RMCWH centers. One of the primary motivators for adopting Sanjeevini application in RMCWH center is the belief that they improve the quality of pregnancy and child care.

1.1 Document Purpose:The purpose of the SRS document is to provide a detailed overview and to define the requirements of the Workflow Implementation of Antenatal Module for Sanjeevini application. The SRS document describes all the functional modules of the project that the final product should perform. This document describes the projects target audience and its user interface, hardware and software requirements. It defines how the team and clients see the product and its functionality.

1.2 Product ScopeNew Family Registration for Mobility Sanjeevini application is a process for maintaining all the pregnant women information who belongs within and out of the region of a center. The main aim is to provide health care services for rural or remote areas for women and children up to the age of 5 years. The center ANMs collects all the information pertaining to a patient from the area where the patient belongs to. The ANMs will be provided a browser-based interface and a mobile device to enter, search, and update patient details based on various categories of patients. Although this project is tailored for RMCWH, the idea can be extended to a global perspective since the whole notion of such a project is rarely used in any other RMCWH in the under-developed and developing countries. The WIAM will not only help the ANMs to monitor the work easily but will also act as a stepping stone to increase the patient care given to the villagers who come under the Field Practice Area of that respective RMCWH.
