Dear Children , This time your Sridhar uncle is going to tell the vybhavam or story of Lord Srinivasa the Prathiyaksha Deivam of Kali Yuga.

Dear Children before proceeding to Srinivasa Vybhavam , I would like to transport you all to Previous Avathara of Lord Maha Vishnu. That is Varaha Avathara. Do u know how and Why our beloved Lord took Varaha Avathara .Lord Maha Vishnu Was resting in Vaikuntham his abode on Adhi Sesha with Maha Lakshmi at his side. Then Great Rishis Sanathana Kumaras visited Vaikuntham and wanted to pay their respect to Lord Maha Vishnu, So they politely approached the Gate keepers of Vaikuntham Jaya and Vijaya ,asked the permission to allow them to meet the Lord Narayana. The Rishi kumaras were small in size , so the Jaya and Vijaya were little arrogant and spoke very roughly with them. Then immediately Rishi cursed them to be born as demons or Asura in Bhoolokam. Then Dwarapalakas came to senses and begged to be forgiven, Then maha Vishnu intervened .Normally a shappa or curse given is given, it cannot be taken back, the velocity can be reduced etc So the option was given to Jaya and Vijaya whether they want 7 Janmas in which they will be friend to Lord, or 3 janmas they will be enemy to Lord. Immediately Jaya and Vijaya Preferred the latter as they did not want to be separated from their lord for long time.

Then In first Janma they were born as Hiranyakshan and Hirenyakashipu, Then Ravana and Kumbhakarna, and in the last Shishupala and Dhantavakra. Now we will come back to our story. That is Varaha Avathara. Here Hiranyakshan took the Mother Earth / Bhoomi Pirati and hid it under the neither world or we can say in Pathala Loka beneath the sea. As usual our Karuna Murthy Lord Maha Vishnu took the form of Wild Boar( Swetha Varaha Moorthy ) and slayed Hiranyakshan and rescued our Bhoomi Pirati ( See the beautiful Picture) . Then he settled in Swetha Varaha Kshetra (Means present day Thirupathi). Then He had Narasimha Avathara and slayed Hirenyakashipu. In Second Janma Jaya and Vijaya were born as Ravana and Kumbhakarna ,Maha Vishnu took the Avathara of Lord Rama and he slayed then and finally in the Third Janma Jaya and Vijaya were born as Shishupala and Dhantavakra and Maha Vishnu took the Avathara of Lord Krishna and he slayed them.

After Lord took 9 Avatharas, He took some more Avatharas apart from Dasaavathara .One of the Avathara was Prathiyaksha Devatha of Kaliyuga Lord Srinivasa. For everything there will be a background story for the Lord to come to the earth , Some Body has to be the reason for Avathara of Lord maha Vishnu.

Children do you know who Sage Naradha is , He is the son of Lord Brahma. He is popular mythological figure and you can find him in almost all the Mythological stories. He is a popular figure with a Musical instrument known as Thumburuveena .He will always utter the name of Lord Narayana. He is known as kalagapriya , He will do some mischief and it will start in fight or anger, but in the end it will end in good. Almost in every avathara of Lord Vishnu you can find him.

Now let us come back to our Srinivasa Vybhavam, Children I have given the pictures wherever possible to make your e-story book interesting. Now scene is in the bank of river Ganges, The sages / Rishis headed by Kashyapa began to perform a Homa or yagna on the banks of the Ganges. Then there lands our dear Sage Narada and asked them why they were performing the sacrifice and who would be pleased by it and who is going to take the Havis and Poorna Ahuthi or Final Offering. There was no answer to the question asked by sage Naradha,

They had a meeting and finally they approached a Maharishi by name Bhrigu, and sought his wise counsel to problem faced by them. For that Sage Brighu took the initiative and told he will personally visit all three lokas of Trimoorthy and then decide who should get the Mariyada (Honor)of receiving the Final offering .

Our sage brighu started the mission, he first went to Satyaloka, the abode of Lord Brahma. At Satyaloka to his dismay he found Brahma busy in reciting the four Vedas in praise of Lord Narayana , and his wife Saraswati was busy in assisting him , They did not take congnisence of sages Brighu's arrival and neither payed any respect / greetings to him.Sage Brighu got wild and cursed Brahma.

Then next Bhrigu left Satyaloka for Kailasa, the abode of Lord Shiva. At Kailasa, Bhrigu to his dismay he found Lord Siva spending his time pleasantly with Parvati and did not notice his arrival and presence. Then Parvati suddenly saw the sage and drew the attention of Siva about the presence of the sage Lord Siva was furious at Bhrigu's intrusion and tried to destroy him. But The sage cursed Lord Siva and left for Vaikuntham abode of Sriman Narayana

At Vaikuntham, Lord Sriman Narayana was reposing on Adisesha with Sri Mahalakshmi in service at His feet. Sage Brighu finding that Sriman Narayana also did not notice his arrival, he was angry and he straight away went to the Lord and kicked on His Vrakshasthalam / chest, the place where Mahalakshmi resides.

At once, Lord Vishnu apologised to the angry sage and pressed his feet to allay the pain caused to Bhrigu's leg. In the process Lord removed the third eye in the foot of the sage,( The third eye in the leg of the sage Bhrigu gave power as to defy the Devas).The sage was pleased and decided that Lord Vishnu was the most supreme of the trimurthis and conveyed the same the Rishis the same. Our Jagan Matha and Pirati Mahalakshmi was very much angered by the action of her Lord in apologising to Bhrigu who committed an offence. Then She left Vaikuntham without listening to the words of the Lord.

At the commencement of the current Swetha Varaha Kalpa, the whole universe was filled with water and the Earth was immersed in it. Lord Narayana assumed the form of a white boar (Varaha avathara) and dived into the water to lift the Earth. in that process he slew the demon Hiranyakshan who was obstructing Him and rescued the Earth. This story at the starting it self I have mentioned to you all.

Brahma ,Rudra and the other Devas praised Sri Swetha Varaha for saving the Earth from the clutches of wicked demon Hiranyakshan and the all chanted the Vedas and showered flowers on Him. Lord Vishnu decided to stay on Earth in the form of Sri Bhoo Varaha for some time, to punish the wicked and protect the virtuous. The place where he stayed came to be known as Varaha Kshetra and the Varaha Kalpa commenced.

Surya, informed our mother Mahalakshmi of this and requested her to assume the form of a cowherdess and sell the cow and calf to the king of the Chola country so that it will be

Then Mother Mahalakshmi went to the

king of the Chola country and sold the cow and its calf. Then King sent them to graze on the Venkata Hill along with his herd of cattle under the care of a cow herd.

Meanwhile, at the palace the queen discovered that only this particular new cow was not yielding any milk, queen scolded the cowherd severely and warned him of dire consequence if he did not find the reason for cow not yielding any milk.

After getting the dressing down from queen , the cowherd followed the cow to ascertain the loss of milk, then he hid himself behind a bush and discovered the cow emptying her udder over the ant-hill. Angered by the cows strange conduct ,the cowherd aimed a blow with his axe on the head of the cow. By that time our Lord Vishnu who is a Karuna Murthy rose from the ant-hill and received the blow to save the cow.

Then seeing our Lord Vishnu Bleeding , cowherd was shocked and he fell down and died.

The cow got freighted on seeing the cowherd dead ,it started behaving strangely, then it returned to the palace and started bellowing in fright and its body was fully of blood stains, King came out and saw the happenings and could not understand what has happened, then cow started back to the place of incidence from the Palace, So the king also started following the cow.

Children you all know Lord will not descend down to Bhoolokam without any valid reasons, Lord Now assumed the name Srinivasa, and decided to stay in Varaha Kshetra, Then he went to Lord Varaha who has the presiding deity of the Kshetram and requested Lord Varaha to grant Him permission to stay in this Sri Kshetram. Lord Varaha immediately recognized who Srinivasa was and allowed him to stay in Swetha Varaha Kshetram. Then he choose a site and stayed close to Varaha Swami Temple. ( Later on Lord Srinivasa ordained that a pilgrimage to His shrine would not be complete unless it starts with bath in the Varaha Pushkarini and darshan of Sri Varahaswami First , and First puja and naivedyam should be offered to Sri Varahaswami. Finally the cow reached the place of grazing near Ant Hill, and King was surprised to see the cowherd lying dead and was wondering what happened, Lo Behold Our Karuna Murthy Lord Sriman Narayana rose from the Ant Hill and cursed the King saying "He will become an asura" King pleaded that he did not do any mistake, Lord told that even if his Subject commit mistakes then that sin also comes in the head of the King, But our Karuna Murthy told that His curse will come to an end when Lord Will wear the Kireetam ( Crown ) presented by the Akasharaja when Lord marries Padmavathi Thayar

Now children let us go back to Krishna Avathara of our Lord Maha Vishnu We know Yashoda brought up Sri Krishna, the son of Devaki, in his early years. However, Yashoda was not blessed to witness the marriage of Sri Krishna with Rukmini and she felt very sad. Sri Krishna promised to fulfill her desire in her next birth as Vakuladevi in his next Avathara as Srinivasa. In Rukmini's next birth as Padmavathi ,Yashoda was Vakuladevi, she was serving Lord Varahaswami when He sent her to serve Srinivasa

She used to spend time with her maid in garden . One day our Sage Naradha as usual descended on earth an came to the place where Padmavathi was playing with her maids and also picking up flowers from the garden. Then Sage Naradha asked her to show her

Meanwhile our Lord Srinivasa also grew up to be a handsome man. One day he was hunting in the forest and he chased a wild elephant, In pursuit of hunting the elephant he landed up in the garden where Our Princess Padmavathi and her maids were playing. On seeing the sight of the wild elephant Padmavathi and her maids were frightened. To everybody's surprise Elephant immediately turned around and Saluted the supreme Lord Srinivasa and disappeared into the forest ,Lord Srinivasa who was following the elephant was also surprised, Then he saw the freighted maidens of the Princess. They accosted and queried him. Our Lord introduced himself to Maidens and in turn queried about the Princess .

Then maidens informed our Lord that princess was Padmavathi and she was the only foster daughter of the King Akasha Raja, Our Lord was captivated by the stunning beauty of Padmavathi. He conveyed to the maids of his interest in Padmavathi. Maids got angry and repulsed our Lord with stones and he left his horse behind and returned to

Then Lord in his abode was in gloomy mood and his Foster mother Vakuladevi brought the dinner plate full of his favorite delicacies ,but our Srinivasa did not show any interest in food, A mother is a mother soon she found out Lord was not in mood and she cajoled him to tell the reason, then Lord opened his heart and told mother that he has fallen in love with the Princess Padmavathi , unless he marries her he wont be happy. Then Mother Vakula asked him to describe about the Padmavathi , then our Lord also went into flash back mode , he told he will tell his mother about the Padmavathis previous birth and Lords promise to wed in her this birth ( Means his birth as Srinivasa )

Now once again I will port you back into Ramayana's Yuga. One of the Amsam of Bhoomi Devi was born Vedavathi, She was staying in the forest and doing penance, Asura King Ravana was passing through the forest and he was stunned by Vedavathi's beauty. After Srinivasas foster mother Vakula Devi left for Palace , Srinivasa was restless and wondered whether his mother would succeed in her mission, ( Children even though he is the Supreme Lord he has taken birth as human so he had that quality of human , He is sarvaantharyami , but acted as ordinary human )So he disguised as a fortune teller and went near the Palace, he caught the eyes of Padmavathis maid, they invited the fortune teller to the Palace and meet the queen. But fortune teller refused to enter the palace until Queen herself invited her. The Sakhi's/Maids of Padmavathi went and conveyed the same to the Queen, so queen herself came out and invited the fortune teller. Queen led her to Princess Padmavathi's chambers. Then fortune teller told she was hungry , she asked for food, then she asked for Thambula etc, everyone was anxious to listen to fortune teller, that what is she going to predict. Akasha Raja called for a meeting with his ministers and other officials and revealed his plans. Then a formal letter was drafted requesting Srinivasa to come and marry the Princess Padmavathi Then Akasha Raja entrusted the delivery of the letter to Sukamahamuni also known as Sukhabrahmam. Suka went to the Thiru Venkata hills accompanied by Srinivasa's mother Vakuladevi. He presented the patrika to Lord Srinivasa, on seeing the Patrika Srinivasa was very much pleased. Then Lord sent his garland for Padmavathi through Suka as the acceptance of the proposal.

Time was less , so Srinivasa immediately called for a Conference and invited all the other Gods to inform them of the proposal and sought their co-operation for the marriage.

As we all know children Goddess Maha Lakshmi was not with Lord he did not have Money, so he went to Kubera and asked for a Loan on interest payment. Then Kubera lent money to Lord Srinivasa to meet the expenses of the marriage.

Lord Srinivasa, along with Lord Brahma , Lord Siva and gathering of all gods started the journey to the Palace of Akasha Raja in his Devine vehicle Garuda. As the procession of Srinivasa and his entourage reached the entrance of the Town they were received by king Akasha Raja with full honors ( Poornakumbha Mariyada ) and then Lord was made to sit on a decorated Elephant and taken in procession to the Royal Palace for the MarriageCeremony.
