If you fail to submit by the absolute deadline allocated by British Council you will be subject to a Late Entry Fee. The Late Entry fee is double the subject/unit fee by late entry deadline, triple the subject fee following official deadline. D. Handover of entry form and identification: Please submit your application with the following items:

• 4 self addressed envelopes (7”x 10” – B5) for posting your entry form and results sheet. Please write

your name and address clearly in block letters on the right hand side of the envelope as shown in the diagram.

• 2 passport-size photographs

• a valid proof of identity (NIC, Passport or Postal ID)

E. Statement of entry and timetables:

The statement of entry should reach you by 11 April 2009. If they do not reach you by this date please contact British Council Examinations Services on 0114521521 or email [email protected]. The IGCSE & GCE timetables are available on http://www.edexcel-international.org If there is an error in your name or date of birth on your statement of entry, you should inform us as soon as you receive your statement of entry. Otherwise, a fee of £35 + Rs 2000 is payable for any amendment requested on the certificate. NOTE: Once application forms have been submitted NO ALTERATIONS ARE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

F. Edexcel withdrawal periods:

Stage 1: Application for Full Refund Withdrawal before 11 April 2009 Stage 2: Application for Refund on Medical grounds only available during the exam period when applied for with supporting evidence (e.g. doctor’s note) Period: 1 May to 30 June Late Entry or Science Practical fees will not be refunded; therefore no withdrawal applications will be accepted. G. Provisional Entries: Candidates who sat for January 2009 session and haven’t received results by the time of making entries for May/June 2009 can apply on a Provisional basis. Mark on the application `P’ for Provisional, by each subject. eg (P) History If a candidate later wants to withdraw from the subject Edexcel will only refund if the application has been made on a provisional basis. Please make sure to contact British Council as soon as you receive your January results or response to Enquiry About Results from Edexcel to confirm your sitting in May/June 2009 or withdrawal on or before 11 April 2009.

H. IGCSE Preparatory Material: Material for candidates to study in preparation for certain tests and assessments will be posted on the website http://www.edexcel-international.org from the following dates. 4340 Commerce paper 03: Thursday 02 April 2009 4350 Economics paper 03: Monday 11 May 2009 4385 Information and communication technology paper 03: the case study and set tasks are posted on the Edexcel International website at least one year before the date of the examination for paper 1F and paper 2H 22 April 2009: Deadline for receipt at the British Council of project work for 4385 ICT I. O Level:

Art & Design syllabus 7020 main papers 1 & 2 (6 hours each) and subsidiary paper (3 hours): these papers may be held at any time after the receipt of question papers and before 29 May 2008.British Council will inform the dates. If you wish the return of your 7020 art work from Edexcel once it’s been assessed please let us know on or before 9 May 2009. Art work will be returned to British Council in November 2009. However, to request this service you need to pay Rs 8000.00 22 April 2009: Deadline for receipt at the British Council of project work for 7105 Computing J. GCE AS /A2:

• Cash-in – If you are completing AS or A2 qualifications please tick the correct syllabus specification in

the application to obtain the overall subject grading in August and certificate in November. • If you are planning to cash-in when the results are released in August a late cash in fee of £10 +

Rs1, 000 will be charged for each syllabus specification. • Candidates must not only tick for syllabus cash-in on the application form without applying for subject

units. The system will not generate an aggregated grade. You are advised to apply for a late cash-in award in that case.

Advance material • 8076/9076 Business Studies: The case studies for unit 6121 / 6122 / 6123 & 6126 will be posted on the

Edexcel website on 19 March 2009 for downloading. • The advance materials for GCE English Language unit (6372) and GCE English Language & Literature

unit 2 (6382) will be posted on Edexcel website on 29 April 2009 for downloading. K. AS/A2 Level Applied GCE ICT: Important: This subject is available ONLY for school candidates. Please note that Applied GCE ICT is not available to private candidates as there is compulsory coursework. The candidate must be attending a centre in order to enter for the subject. 07 April 2009: Applied GCE ICT 6953 practice data files available through Edexcel Online. 6953, 6957, 6959 Pre-release scenario released on website AS Level 6951 & 6952 Coursework Submission 22 April 2009: Deadline for receipt at the British Council of project work AS Level 6953 Computer-based Exam The designated five day window for GCE ICT unit 6953 ‘The Knowledge Worker’ is Monday 18 May to Friday 22 May 2009.
