The Founder of Shri Ram College of Commerce was born on April 27, 1884. First son of Madan Mohan Lal and Chando Devi, Shri Ram completed his school and college education in Delhi and joined the family business DCM in 1900. In 1920 he established the Commercial Education Trust to promote business education and in 1926 the Commercial College came into being. On its silver jubilee in 1951, this college was renamed after the founder as Shri Ram College of Commerce. SRCC remains an institution founded with a vision of fostering good education in the fields of business and economics. On the 125th Anniversary of Sir Shri Ram, the College fraternity remembers him with respect and gratitude. CHECK LISTFOR PRELIMINARY APPLICATION I 1. FOR APPLICATION (to be submitted with Preliminary Application Form) Self-attested copy of certificate indicating marks obtained in the qualifying examination from the Board/Institution last attended. 2. OBC Certificate, if applying under this Category. 3. Parental annual income Certificate for determination of creamy layer. 4. FOR APPLICATION ON SPORTS BASIS i. Separate application irrespective of the application on merit basis. Additional forms available from College Office. ii. Indicate "Sports" in Column No.8 (Eligibility Category) of the Application Form. iii. Self-attested true copies of relevant sports certificates and newspaper clippings. iv. Paste self-attested passport size photograph in space provided in Application Form, next to column. v. Submit an additional photograph. II. FOR ADMISSION (to be done during enrolment) i. Fill in and submit 1. College Admission Form 2. University Enrolment Form obtainable from College Office. ii. Passport size photographs iii. Self-attested copy of detailed Marks Sheet (Qualifying Examination) iv. Self-attested copy of Certificate of Date of Birth (High School Certificate) v. Character Certificate issued by Head of Institution vi. Self-attested copy of Migration Certificate in case the student is from a Board/University other than Delhi vii. Copy of Certificate from Head of School stating that the candidate has passed in Hindi upto Class VIII, in case exemption is sought for Compulsory Test in Hindi. viii.Complete formalities for issue of Identity Card ix. Submit original Marks Sheet x. Submit Original Provisional Certificate of passing the qualifying examination with a self-attested copy. xi. Submit Migration Certificate (in case of student from a University or Board other than Delhi.) xii. Furnish originals of all attested copies of Certificates submitted along with application. xiii.Income proof in case of OBC candidates where applicable. xiv.Affidavit by the student and Parent/Guardian (Annexure I & II) to the effect that the U.G.C. regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions.
