    Check once again that all connections are correct and that there areno problems with the connection cables.

    Power is supplied to some o the circuitry even when the unit isset to the standby mode. When going on vacation or leaving home

    or long periods o time, be sure to unplug the power cord rom thepower outlet.

    About condensationI there is a major di erence in temperature between the inside othe unit and the surroundings, condensation (dew) may orm onthe operating parts inside the unit, causing the unit not to operateproperly.I this happens, let the unit sit or an hour or two with the powerturned o and wait until there is little di erence in temperaturebe ore using the unit.

    When preparations are complete, start the Setup Wizard.Use the Setup Wizard to per orm connections and settings as shown in the ollowing steps. Per orm the operations as described in theinstructions on the screen. You can skip or cancel at each section i necessary.

    Insert the main unit power plug into the wallsocket.

    Connect

    Care ully check the le t (L) and right (R) channels and+ (red) and (black) polarities on the speakers beingconnected to the this unit, and be sure to interconnectthe channels and polarities correctly.

    Connecting the speaker cablesPeel o about 0.03 t/10 mm o sheathing rom the tip o thespeaker cable, then either twist the core wire tightly or terminate it.

    NOTE Connect so that the speaker cable core wires do not protrude

    rom the speaker terminal. The protection circuit may be

    activated i the core wires touch the rear panel or i the + and sides touch each other ( v m page 145 Protection Circuit). Never touch the speaker terminals while the power supply is

    Selecting the input sourcePress the input source select button(BD, DVD, SAT, TV, NET/USB, CD,TUNERor M-XP) twice to be playedback.When an input source select button ( BD,DVD, SAT, TV, CD, NET/USB, TUNER or

    M-XP) is pressed once, the unit switchesto device selected by the operating mode othe remote control. I the input source selectbutton is then pressed again twice, the inputsource or the unit is switched.

    When 2 1 is pressed, the input source o this unit is switchedto NET/USB and the connected iPod is automatically played(vm page 31 iPod play unction).

    Select input source AUX1 to play back music rom an audiosystem connected to the AUX1 IN connector.

    The input source GAME is selected to playback rom a game

    device connected to GAME connector o HDMI IN. Select the input source VCR, GAME, AUX1, AUX2 orPHONO using one o the ollowing methods. SOURCE df button on the remote control unit

    Input sources that are not going to be used can be set ahead o time.Make this setting at Source Delete ( vm page 117).

    To turn o the source selection menu without selecting an inputsource, press 3 again.

    When 3 is pressed, the AMP-operation mode starts automatically(vm page 123).

    Turning off the sound temporarilyPress MUTE. MUTE indicator on the display lights.

    appears on a TV screen.

    The sound is reduced to the level set at Mute Level ( vmpage 117).

    To cancel, press MUTE again. Muting can also be canceled byadjusting the master volume.
