    >> SHADOWRUN A few minor security companies have starting issuing these

to their guards to replace the older Fichetti security models.

The guards lose some ammo capacity, but whatever they hit,

    they hurt.

    > Snopes

    > Wolverine Security authorized them as a backup to their normallarge-caliber pistols. I guess an accountant explained they could

save money and make bigger holes in people at the same time.

    Win-win.

    > /dev/grrl

    > The reduction in warehousing and purchasing costs can be

significant for some organizations, but I doubt a company as

large as Wolverine will see significant enough savings to worry

about phasing out a small pistol and its ammunition.

    > Mr. Bonds

    >> SHADOWRUN What a load of drek. The primary suggested loads for this pistol

are unjacketed compressed light-metal bullets. Who uses

    those things?

    > Bull

competitions after the green movement managed to outlawunjacketed lead at a number of their ranges.

    > Glitch

    > And who here is likely to use one of these, Glitch? I doubt

anyone even considers this a decent home-defense piece.

    > Hard Exit

    > Perhaps not, but I had a client who kept a pair of these loaded in

a wall display. They came in handy when the assassin brought

his assault team friends to the house with him. They made big

enough holes in the window for the client to get out while the

assailants were trying to figure out what was going on. Having

a weapon hiding in plain sight is not a bad idea.

    >> SHADOWRUN Not very effective against armordid the designers have

something against SINless people or Barrens dwellers or

whatever? It seems designed to handle unarmored opponents

    more than military personnel.

    > Slamm-0!

that can be, and how destructive to things governments and

    masses back into their place.

    > Aufheben

    > This is not a new development or anything. The lack of armor

penetration has always been a problem for machine pistols.

Generally the ability to make a small weapon controllable in

I know they charge extra for a match barrel, but you shouldnt

    >> SHADOWRUN According to recent disclosures, Lone Star has purchased more

of these than Knight Errant. Apparently their Austin-based units

like the enhanced magazine capacity, although it might just be a

    symptom of the citys tension.

    > Mr. Bonds

    > No, Lone Star just likes spraying bullets whenever they can getaway with it. The Azzie-related issues in Austin are just another

    excuse.

    > Hard Exit

    > Its still surprising Ares went with a drum magazine for a

submachine gun. Reloading the drum takes forever without a

winding tool, which of course Ares sells separately.

    > Beaker

    > Despite what you see on the trid, most firefights during a

shadowrun last less than three seconds. The large drum has

enough rounds for nearly six seconds of suppressive fire with

some left over. If youre shooting it out with a Lone Star lackey
