Creat new shared data sources
Right click and select Add New Data Source

Give name to your new data source
Under the connection seting click Edit and from the new windows choice the sql server and the database
you want to work on it

In the Server name as you see I type “.” To point to the local server in my machine, in the select or enter a
database name:
I use the “AdvantureWorksDW2012” database.
And you would test the connection

Click ok to go back to the previce window to see the connection setting
Click Ok

Creat Report
Right click on the Reports tab and click on Add New Report
Click next

Choice your data source that you created on th top and click next
Past your query or you can use query builder:
