John DaSilva of KSR Power comes with over 15 years of experience in the industry, is ASTTBC Certified, and has 24 hour service. This is a great addition to our Service team and we look forward to working with him. 2010 - VANOC – Hastings Park – Bi fuel Genset Simpower has just been awarded a 2010 Olympic venue job at Hastings park for the 2010 games. This Bi-fuel 300KW unit will be running the entire time of the venue as the main source of power with Utility as back up. The unique Generac design of bi- fuel (Natural gas and diesel) allows them to have power along with back up source of fuel making it a very trustworthy source for such a big venue. Marine Engines and Gensets Simpower was awarded another BC Ferries job. This one is for the Queen of New Westminster. This project involves a genset with Mitsubishi S6R MPTA engine and a Bow Thruster engine with Mitsubishi S6R2 MPTK engine. The units meet Lloyds and IMO standards. Also sold, are Two (2) S12R MPTA, 1180 HP @ 1600 RPM propulsion engines to Babine Barge Ltd. Booth: 509 Standard Genset Specifications In an ongoing effort to create a healthy competition, Simpower is currently creating a “performance based” specifications for engineers to use when issuing specifications for gensets. This performance based specification stays focused on what is required rather than what a specific supplier can provide. We hope to have this specification released shortly. Simpower is having an Open House! Simpower will be hosting an open house on JUNE 20 th , 2007 to include: Tour of Simpower’s facility in Maple Ridge, Generac’s Power trip trailer which has a theatre style presentation room for 16 people at a time as well as paralleling 100 & 50KW units for you to see and play with. Power generation seminar’s and a BBQ. We will be sending out more information soon and hope to see you there!
