What better way to celebrate the beautiful warm weather now upon us than with a neighbourhood
breakfast! On Sunday, May 3rd at Kingmeadow we got together with all our new home owners for
breakfast at the Sales Centre. The delicious breakfast was provided by Pelican Catering. Plenty of
coffee, tea, fresh fruit, pastries and wraps were served for our guests to enjoy. New home owners
got a chance to meet their neighbours and reconnect with the sales staff that helped them pick
their Kingmeadow home. Thank you to everyone who attended and welcome to the neighbourhood.

With the weather warming up, there is lots of activity happening at Kingmeadow. Our team on site is loving
that the bitter winter has left us for warm sunny days.
Phase 2 at Kingmeadow is well underway, and the neighbourhood is looking great. There are over 100 Phase
2 homes currently under construction, including several blocks of Traditional Town Homes, Ravine Homes,
and Bridle Town Homes that are in the framing stage. Our first closings of Phase 2 happened at the end of
March, and in April we saw 30 homeowners move into their new Kingmeadow homes.
At the end of March the team also began excavating our first 2 blocks of Bridle Towns and began framing
the Ravine Models in this Phase. We are excited to see these homes start to take shape and look forward
to welcoming you to the neighbourhood.
This local hotspot has quietly made its way into the hearts of many Oshawa residents. With their commitment
to local, whole foods and green living, The Table is a refreshing option if you’re looking for delicious and healthy
meals in the neighbourhood.
All food served at The Table is made from locally grown produce and sourced from the best in the region.
Some of the produce is even harvested from owner Carol Cavallari’s personal garden. The menu is full of hearty
and fresh vegetarian options: 4 daily soups, a salad bar and sandwich bar, wraps, veggie burgers, an extensive
breakfast menu and fresh baked goods.
At The Table, you can choose to dine-in or take-out. Flexible take-out service lets you call in your orders for
pick up. The staff at The Table are promoters of reducing waste and encourage bringing your own Tupperware
to fill up with any leftovers.
If you’re dining at The Table, their main seating area is a long wood communal table so you can dine in a group
setting. There are also smaller tables off to the side for more private dining.
The Table is as much a community group as a restaurant. Led by the owner Carol, they encourage community
service with a volunteer group, promote local urban farming by establishing community gardens in Oshawa,
and support local farmers by hosting harvest markets in the restaurant.

MATTHEW & BRITTANY
NEIGHBOUR
PROFILE
Meet your new neighbours, Matthew and Brittany! They are an energetic couple with a new baby on the
way, and they are extremely excited to be starting a new chapter of their life in their Kingmeadow home.
Matthew and Brittany met while working on a cruise ship in Alaska. Matthew is from Cape Town, South
Africa, and Brittany is from Uxbridge. Matthew works as a marketing and sales manager in the fall
protection and high rise window cleaning industry, and Brittany is an Early Childhood Educator working
in the Durham District School Board. They love traveling (cruising in particular), spending time with friends
and family, listening to their collection of vintage vinyl records and baking together. They are expecting
their first child in July, which just adds to the excitement of all the new things happening in their lives!
Mathew and Brittany closed on their home in April, and they are looking forward to making their house a
home. They love living in Oshawa because of everything it has to offer. They chose Kingmeadow because
it’s close to the country with lots of green space for outdoor activity. They were also drawn to the future
development of the community. “Especially with a little one on the way, buying in a subdivision filled with
young families makes it that much more appealing” Brittany explains.
Matthew and Brittany live in a Manor B home. With two storeys, 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms, they
chose this home because it seemed like the perfect size for a growing family. “The layout is fantastic and
filled with character, but the selling feature was the great room above the garage,” they tell us. “The lot
we chose overlooks the park and features a walkout basement.” A great sunny feature for this bright
and spacious home!
Asked about their experience with Minto, Matthew and Brittany gushed with compliments.
“Our experience during this whole process with Minto has been fantastic, and it is clear why they have
been awarded Home Builder of the Year in Ontario.” We are looking forward to running into Matthew,
Brittany, and the new addition to their family in the Kingmeadow neighbourhood!
