Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, NV A deeper understanding of a sacred land The Spring Mountains are a special place. They are a unique ecosystem populated by endemic species, the holy land of Nuwuvi Native American Nations, and a recreational escape for local residents. APA, in collaboration with architectural partners and a diverse team of consultants, is working with the U.S. Forest Service, Nuwuvi and various stakeholders to design an interpretive center in Kyle Canyon in the Spring Mountains, just outside of Las Vegas. APA has guided the process to establish an interpretive vision and design concept for the Center’s exhibitry. The design focuses on creating an emotional link between visitors and the site, encouraging visitors to use all their senses to connect to the mountains, ecosystems and rich cultural heritage. APA developed detailed design documentation based on this vision and concept, and is currently managing exhibit fabrication and installation as design progresses.
