Dear Families, As we enter the halfway point of another school year we are in awe of the academic growth and maturity our students have gained! Every day we hear and observe kids engaged in learning using a variety of strategies to share the thinking that their teachers have taught them. They help each other learn and lead by example. We thank you for your ongoing encouragement and support assisting your student to learn and reach goals academically and socially. We also thank you for getting your students to school “on- time, all day, everyday.” This allows students to maximize their learning opportunities and sets positive habits in place that will continue to benefit them throughout life. We move into 2018 with an ongoing commitment to support a positive learning experience here at RE Bennett Elementary! ~Brenda & Rachel Assistant Principals Your efforts in clipping & sending in Box Tops has yielded a check from Box Tops for Education in the amount of $1153.00! We will be the first to admit that the pick-up area outside by our gym is challenging to say the least! When our new schools are built-problem solved!! But until then, we are urging parents to park & walk over to pick up their students outside the gym to prevent so much congestion. We often have cars that are parked along 3rd Street in the roadway, which prevents buses and other vehicles from getting through. In the event of an emergency, this could also make it impossible for emergency vehicles. Your cooperation is much appreciated!!

As parents, you already know that school attendance matters. Each day in school valuable learning takes place. It’s also important to remember that every minute of the school day counts. Due to a recent change in attendance laws, both coming to school late and leaving school early are considered tardies and will reflect on your student’s attendance record. We appreciate your help in keeping your student here for the full school day until dismissal. Thanks!!
