Spring 2017 Dear honored participant, Temple Beth-El of Las Cruces will present its third annual Jewish Food and Folk Festival on April 23, 2017, from 11 am to 3 pm. The festival will be an enjoyable community event that will include Jewish and ethnic culinary delights, live music, folk dancing, children’s activities, silent auction, a raffle, and will offer a culturally rich experience for Las Crucens. Sponsoring the Jewish Food and Folk Festival provides an opportunity to support a synagogue that serves a growing and diverse Jewish community in Las Cruces. Proceeds from the festival will be used to support the many community outreach and educational programs at Temple Beth-El. Programs include religious school, youth programs for teens, adult programs, and community outreach activities that include lectures and meetings that are open to the public. Programs offer and focus on a variety of efforts to accomplish Tikkun Olam, a pillar of the Jewish faith that suggests healing and transforming the world. Temple Beth-El coordinates an ongoing “food of the month” drive for Casa de Peregrinos and El Caldito Soup Kitchen. Recently, congregants volunteered at Camp Hope and the soup kitchen; the youth program donated 400 turkeys to Casa de Peregrinos, and the young children in religious school contributed their own donations to the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary. Temple Beth-El is offering a number of opportunities for sponsorship and advertising to promote your business. They include advertising in a program book that will be distributed at the event, placement on the posters, signage at the event, announcements at the event, website placement, and others.
