The Fifth Season: SpringSmithe

Ahoy me swabs, and welcome back to Arbor Watch! As ye know tis is Talk like a Pirate Day. Best day of the year ya

know. I be Pirate Steve, narruhratin' this bonnie tale.

Now that the Cooke's be settled into their new quarters. It is time for some new blood in the docks. This be Ethan Smithe and his mangy mutt, Soda. Smith is a

common pirate name, for those to be wantin' to hide who they really be.

Ethan gave up his sealegs to settle down with those landlubbers, him and Soda. I supposed every good lad needs his mutt. I can't see why t' captain is making a big fuss o' a mutt. All mutts have fleas, don't ya know.

Here be Ethan's hovel, it's a rather nice hovel, maybe her capt'ness will give me one.

T' lad scarcely gets settled in his quarters before he starts lighting fires everywhere. Tell t' cook to be

keepin' him away from the galley.

Ye gotta give the boy his salts, burnin' the grub and eatin' it too.

Ethan falls into his bunk early, deddn't even have anything grog! Aye, this boy t'will be needin' lots of

work.

Meebe there's sumthin' about the mutt afterall, he's standin' in the sofa.

The lad spends most o' the mornin' playing with the ghost mutt. Ain't ghosts suppose t' only haunt at

night?

Look there be a wench! Ethan! Quit playin' with the ghost mutt!

Caught her just in time. There's a lad.

She's an angry lookin' wench isn't she. She be callin' herself Dagmar. But the Captain sez you already be

knowin' that much.

Looks like the lad be off to a bad start. Wenches are like that ye know.

Dagmar soon maroons Ethan to his yard. Here's a lad after my own heart, huntin' for treasure. Though I

have no idea want he did with the treasure maps, how will he know where the X be?

See that's what ye get for not bringin' along the maps.

He managed not to catch his grub not fire this night. Mebbe there's hope for him yet.

A/N: Okay I fail at sims. My sister was over while I was working on this, she happened to have her dog with her. If became suddenly necessary to walk said dog at the peril of

my carpet. Then we ran into my cousin and stopped to chat. Long story short, the walk ended up being an hour long and I had forgotten to paused the game in the rush to get my sister's dog outside. I came back to find it was already day four, but luckily everyone was alive and nothing bad had happened. Poor Ethan isn't having a good

run.

Nevermind the Captain's neglecting the task of takin' fancy pictures. Here be Ethan's treasure, two rocks, a bone, and

some mini cannon balls. Those are a bit small to be throwin' at anything.

Avast, the wench is back with the mail, look at she be shootin' daggers with her eyeballs.

Though fer all her dagger, Dagmar sure likes the lad. I'll never understand wenches. One moment they likes your swashbuckling, and the next they're smashin' beer bottles

on yer head in a tavern brawl.

After Dagmar leaves, Ethan finally make himself a bit of grub that he can't catch on fire. He's a quick lad.

Ethan plays around as cabin boy and spends his afternoon cleaning. Doesn't he know that's what

wenches are for.

The boy still can't hold his own and hits his bunk early.

Ghost mutt can't be leaving the supernatural alone and plays with the leader of the pack while his master

sleeps.

Ethan wakes up before the dawn and eats breakfast. I prefer a nice tankard of grog in the mornin' meself.

Finally Ethan makes a move on that wench friend, invitin' her out about town.

Yar, Ethan I've lost my faith in ye lad. Of all the places to bring a lovely beauty, yer bring to a bookstore. Why

do they even have stores fer books? Pirates can't read. Why do ya think we have pictures on our flags.

Ethan learns to swahbuckle and jimmy's up his nerve to ask for Dagmar's fer a date.

Looke him bein' all gentl'menly like an' kissin' her hand, makes me wanna sleep under a cannon ball.

In the end, they ended up havin' themselves a date that very bitty lass dreams of....in a bookstore.

Ethan heads home to teach his flea bitten mutt, tricks. Better than a trained monkey.

Look lass, yer pretty and all, but ye got this backwards, Yer supposed to let the cabin boy be

bringin' ye the flowers. Right after he's done peeling potatoes

After the lass leaves her flowers and the mutt's learned his trick, Ethan spends some time on the talkin' box. With the

lass no doubt.

After a good bubble bath like any ninny landlubber likes. The lad heads to his bunks, dreamin' of his bonnie lass.
