No matter how I massaged it, the pain stayed with me even until my all-India trip in November - December 2009. Thinking the vein must have been dislocated, I even paid a professional Indonesian masseuse to try “pull it back” to its original position but also to no avail. During April this year (2010), I went to the mall and bought a new pair of slippers as the current sandals I was wearing was rather high. As I was exiting the mall at the car park, Wanda* told me to change over to my new pair of slippers. However, I could not open the tight seal. Wanda* offered to open it for me, but I did not allow her. I said that I would wear the new slippers back home. She insisted again, but I declined. Not long after that (around 5 minutes later), as we were exiting from the car to take the Metro, I slipped and twisted my ankle. And guess what?! I twisted the same foot that was suffering from internal injury since July last year! And now that twist made the pain even worse! I had an all-Dubai tour the next day, BUT I could not walk properly! Each step I took was an agony as the pain shot through my entire body. I tried twisting it back, but it did not work. Days passed by, but the pain was still there. Weeks passed by but the pain was still there! Finally, I got fed up of it, and decided to do something about it. Since the past, present and future are all embodied within US, and the mind knows not of any of these three, I could definitely „revise history‟. I allowed myself to „revisit‟ last July, the time when I was practicing dancing in my living room, and instead of thumping my foot too hard on the floor, I felt myself stop practicing just before then. I played it a few times in my mind until the vision became vivid enough to satisfy me that that was so. Then I „revisited‟ the scene at the parking lot. Instead of me rejecting Wanda‟s offer, I saw myself taking up Wanda‟s offer, and put on my new slippers. With the new slippers, I did not slip because they were low.

SPRAIN GAINMay 22, 2010

Around July last year (2009), I was practicing my Bharat-Natyam (a type of Indian traditional

dance) to dance the famous Chandramukhi dance when I suddenly thumped my left foot a little

harder than I should have done so, and injured it.

No matter how I massaged it, the pain stayed with me even until my all-India trip in November -

December 2009.

Thinking the vein must have been dislocated, I even paid a professional Indonesian masseuse to

try “pull it back” to its original position but also to no avail.

During April this year (2010), I went to the mall and bought a new pair of slippers as the currentsandals I was wearing was rather high. As I was exiting the mall at the car park, Wanda* told me

to change over to my new pair of slippers. However, I could not open the tight seal.

Wanda* offered to open it for me, but I did not allow her. I said that I would wear the new

slippers back home. She insisted again, but I declined.

Not long after that (around 5 minutes later), as we were exiting from the car to take the Metro, I

slipped and twisted my ankle. And guess what?! I twisted the same foot that was suffering from

internal injury since July last year! And now that twist made the pain even worse!

I had an all-Dubai tour the next day, BUT I could not walk properly! Each step I took was an

agony as the pain shot through my entire body. I tried twisting it back, but it did not work.

Days passed by, but the pain was still there. Weeks passed by but the pain was still there!

Finally, I got fed up of it, and decided to do something about it.

Since the past, present and future are all embodied within US, and the mind knows not of any of

these three, I could definitely „revise history‟.

I allowed myself to „revisit‟ last July, the time when I was practicing dancing in my living room, and instead of thumping my foot too hard on the floor, I felt myself stop practicing just before

then. I played it a few times in my mind until the vision became vivid enough to satisfy me that

that was so.

Then I „revisited‟ the scene at the parking lot. Instead of me rejecting Wanda‟s offer, I saw

myself taking up Wanda‟s offer, and put on my new slippers. With the new slippers, I did notslip because they were low.

After doing this „revision‟, I forgot all about it and went to sleep.

Few days later, a friend - Hiwot was talking about her legs. She too had previously sprained her

ankle. She asked me how was my sprain.

For days I did not even bother thinking about that sprain, and I DID NOT even notice that the

injury was completely gone! Only when she asked me that question did I realise that my foot was

completely NORMAL! That came as a remarkable surprise to me as I did even bother checking

my foot to see whether it has healed after „revising the scenes‟ that night.

From this sprain, I definitely gained something. I gained another confirmation that the mind is

indeed limitless, and we are beyond past, present or future. We can „time travel‟ back and forthany time to change any residual state that we are experiencing.

Despite having the knowledge for such a long time, I NEVER attempted to heal that foot, and I

chose to suffer from the injury for almost a year. When I finally did set the power within me intomotion, the pain disappeared as though it was never there before (just as I have „revised‟ it to be).

So yes, this was definitely a sprain gain for me. And for you too!
