Introduction As of SAP SCM 2007, the following new Solution Manager Content is available in the area of Service Parts Planning (SPP).

Configuring SPP in a Landscape with SAP ERP and SAP SCM Purpose This configuration guide applies to the business scenario Service Parts Planning for the following releases. It describes the steps you must implement to enable this scenario, which enables you to plan your service parts in an optimized way.

Contents The configuration guide contains all steps required to implement Service Parts Planning (SPP) in a system landscape that consist of SAP SCM and SAP ERP only. The guide specifies the sequence of the configuration activities, and their dependencies.

Creating an RFC User in SAP ERP Use You can use this procedure to create a user for the Remote Function Call (RFC) connection of your systems.

Procedure ...

1. To create the required RFC user, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Tools → Administration → User Maintenance → Users (alternatively, enter transaction code SU01).

2. In the User field, enter the name of the RFC user.

4. On the Maintain User screen, enter the following data:

Assigning a Logical System to a Client Use You can use this procedure to assign a logical system to the client in the ERP system for the ERP system.

Procedure ...

1. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with Other mySAP.com Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape → Assign Logical System to a Client.

2. Make sure that the logical system for the ERP client exists, for example ERPCLNT001 or EACCLNT000.

If it does not exist, name the logical system for the ERP client first. For naming the logical system, in Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with Other mySAP.com Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape → Name Logical system.

Naming the Logical System for the Connection to SAP SCM Use You can use this procedure to name the logical system, which is used in the Remote Function Call (RFC) connection to SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM).

Procedure ...

1. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with Other mySAP.com Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape → Name Logical System.

2. Define the logical system for SAP SCM, for example, define SCMCLNT001.

Specifying the SAP APO Release Use You can use this procedure to specify the system type and release number of the target system (that is of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization) your are connecting to. In this document, SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) refers to the Core Interface (CIF) functionality and to the APO component.

Prerequisites You have named the target system. For more information, see Naming the Logical System for the Connection to SAP SCM [Seite 9].

Procedure 3. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with mySAP.com Components

→ Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape → Specify SAP APO Release.

4. Make sure that an entry for your logical system exists. If it does not exist, create such an entry and enter the following values:

Defining RFC Destinations in SAP ERP Use You can use this procedure to define Remote Function Call (RFC) destinations in the ERP system, which are used for the connection to the target system, which means to SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM).

1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Tools → Administration → Administration → Network → RFC Destinations (alternatively, enter transaction code SM59).

2. In the navigation tree, select ABAP Connections.

3. Choose with quick info Create.

4. Create an RFC destination by entering the following data:

1. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with mySAP.com Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape → Set Target System and Queue Type.

2. Check/enter the following data for the relevant logical system:

Maintaining qRFC Monitor (QIN Scheduler) Settings in SAP ERP Use You can use this procedure to make settings for inbound queues in the qRFC monitor (QIN Scheduler) of SAP ERP.

Procedure ...

1. In SAP ERP, execute transaction SMQR.

2. On the qRFC Monitor (QIN Scheduler) screen, choose the Register without activation button.

The Queue Registration (w/o Activating) screen appears.

3. Enter the following data:

Maintaining qRFC Monitor (QOUT Scheduler) Settings in SAP ERP Use You can use this procedure to make settings for outbound queues in the qRFC monitor (QOUT scheduler) of SAP ERP.

1. In SAP ERP, execute transaction SMQS.

2. On the qRFC Monitor (QOUT Scheduler) screen, choose the Register without activation button.

The Destination Registration (No Activation) screen appears.

3. Enter the following data:

Setting User Parameters for Data Transfer Use You can use this procedure to set user parameters that are needed for data transfer via the Core Interface (CIF).

1. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Integration with mySAP.com Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Basic Settings for Data Transfer → Set User Parameters. (Alternatively, you can execute transaction code CFC2.)

2. Check if the following entry exists. If it does not exist, create this entry.

Checking Basic Table Entries Use You can use this procedure to check ISO codes. You have to check ISO codes periodically as they may have changed and may need to be deleted.

2. Compare if the following table entries are identical in your SAP ERP and your SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) system.

Activating Additional Material Master Data Screens Use You can use this procedure to activate additional material master data screens in the ERP system.

Procedure ...

1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Tools → Customizing → Business Configuration Sets → Activation of BC Sets. (Alternatively, execute transaction code SCPR20.)

2. Enter BC set /SPE/MATERIAL_SCREENS.

This BC set delivers additional entries for screen sequence 21 of the material master maintenance.

3. Choose Activate.

The Activation Options screen appears.

4. Make sure that the following radio buttons are selected:

○ Overwrite All Data

○ Default Mode (Recommended)

5. Choose Continue Activation.

Activating Enhancements for Service Parts Management (SPM) Use You can use this procedure to activate the enhancements for Service Parts Management (SPM) in SAP ERP.

Procedure ... ...

1. In Customizing for the ERP system, choose Logistics Execution → Service Parts Management (SPM) → Activate Enhancements for Service Parts Management (SPM) → Activate Enhancements for Service Parts Management.

2. Create a new entry.

3. In the Customer Type field, choose Service Parts Management activate (SPM).

4. Choose Save.

A system message appears.

5. Confirm the message.

Settings in SAP SCM Use With this procedure, you can make the necessary settings in SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) to connect SAP ERP to SAP SCM.

1. In Customizing for SAP SCM, choose Integration with SAP Components → Integration via APO Core Interface (CIF) → Basic Settings for Creating the System Landscape → Assign Logical Systems to a Client.

2. Make sure that the logical system for the SCM client exists, for example SCMCLNT001.

If it does not exist, name the logical system for the SCM client first. For naming the logical system, in Customizing for the SCM system, choose Integration with SAP Components → Integration via APO Core Interface (CIF) → Basic Settings for Creating the System Landscape → Name Logical Systems..

Procedure 16. In Customizing for SAP SCM, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization → Master

Data → Hierarchy → Define Hierarchy Structure.

The Change “View Hierarchy Structure Level Definition”: Overview screen is displayed.

17. Under Hierarchies, create a new hierarchy structure using the following entries:

○ Hier.str.text: CF_BOD

○ HierStructName: CF_BOD

○ Node Type: 2 Location

Since the hierarchy type is Hierarchy, the definitions for characteristic schema and generated hierarchy structure do not need to be maintained.

At any time there can be only one hierarchy structure for BOD in the system. Follow the instructions to carry out basic customizing for BOD.

18. Define the Hierarchy Structure Level Definition.

Since the hierarchy type is Hierarchy, the level assignment for generated hierarchy structure does not need to be maintained.

19. Choose Save.

20. In Customizing, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization → Master Data → Product → Maintain Product Relevant Hierarchy.

The Change View “Product/Location Product Hierarchies”: Details screen is displayed.

21. In BOD Hstr., enter CF_BOD.

22. Execute transaction /sapapo/bod001.

The /SAPAPO/BOD_MAINTAIN screen is displayed.

23. Enter the BOD name.

24. Choose BOD Maintain.

25. Double-click on the BOD name, and the Hierarchy Fast Entry screen is displayed.

26. Enter the entry point location(s) and choose the green, flash icon to transfer this entry to the main screen.

27. Double-click on the entry point location in the main screen to enter its child locations in the Hierarchy Fast Entry screen.

To maintain a virtual child location (VCL), mark the VCL indicator behind the concerned location.

A facing location can never have a VCL.

28. Choosing the flash icon transfers the entries to the main screen.

29. Choose Save.

The BOD is automatically assigned to the active model (000).

Initializing the Default Service Profile for Automatic Profile Assignment Use This procedure allows you to initialize the default service profile for an automatic profile assignment.

Procedure In Customizing for SAP SCM, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization → Supply Chain Planning → Service Parts Planning (SPP) → Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) → Create Global Standard Service Profile for DRP.

This automatically initializes the standard service profile in the background.

Initializing the Default Service Profile for DRP Use This procedure allows you to initialize the default service profile for distribution requirements planning (DRP).

In Customizing for SAP SCM, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization → Supply Chain Planning → Service Parts Planning (SPP) → Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) → Create Global Standard Service Profile for DRP.

This step automatically initializes the standard service profile in the background. If the profile was successfully created, the following message is displayed:

Global default settings successfully created.

Activating Business Content Use With the setting Install Business Content in the Administrator Workbench, you can copy and activate the delivered business content. With this, all additional required objects and the order in which they are to be activated, are automatically taken into consideration.

5. Activate ODS and update rules.

This indicator has to be removed to allow the deletion of requests, which is important for testing.

l. Choose Transfer Selection.

m. Execute transaction RSA1OLD and add queries to multi-provider 9ADEMMUL.

n. Display the context menu for the top node of a list of collected objects.

o. Choose Add Optional Objects.

p. Add the query element.

q. Display the context menu for the top node of a list of collected objects.

r. Choose Install 9ADEMMUL and 9ARAWMUL.

s. To check your queries, execute transaction RSRT, which starts the Query monitor.

t. Place your cursor in Query and press F4.

u. Choose InfoAreas.

8. Create the source system.

For Microsoft Excel, do the following:

a. Click the right mouse button on Source system and choose Create.

b. Select File System (Manual Metadata, Data Using File Interface).

c. Choose OK.

For SAP CRM:

l. Display the context menu for Source system and choose Create.

n. Enter your user ID and password for SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization (SAP APO) in the ERP system.

The following message is displayed, Please log on as an administrator in the following screen.

o. In New Source System Connection, choose Continue.

p. In Error in Object Editing, choose Cancel.

q. In Check RFC Connection, choose Use.

r. In Replicate Metadata, choose Replicate As Well.

For the extraction of data to SAP NetWeaver BI, you must create a source system in SAP NetWeaver BI for SAP SCM. The connection of SAP SCM to SAP NetWeaver BI is in SAP NetWeaver BI.

9. Replicate the data source

a. Execute transaction RSA5 (Installation of DataSource from Business Content).

b. Choose Activate DataSources.

c. In Create Object Directory Entry, choose Save.

d. Enter your workbench request number and choose OK → Action successfully completed.

e. Execute transaction RSA1OLD.

f. Double-click Source Systems.

g. Display the context menu and choose Replicate DataSources.

h. Double-click Source Systems.

i. Display the context menu and choose DataSource Overview.

Now, the source system tree data is refreshed.

10. Activate Aggregates

a. Execute transaction RSA1OLD.

c. In Initialization of Data Realignment of Data History, ensure that the following checkboxes are selected:

■ Overwrite

u. Activate the daemon by executing transaction RSCRT (for 3.x data sources).

12. Set up the SAP CRM and SAP SCM connection.

13. Capture and manage demand.

14. Execute transaction RSA1.

15. Go to the info objects and choose 9ADEM_CAT.

16. Display the context menu and select Maintain master data.

17. Choose Execute.

18. Set the forecastable indicator to X for the categories ADJ_DEM and NONE.

19. Choose Save.

● You have ensured that the source systems have been created in the Business Intelligence (BI) system of SAP SCM. To do this, call transaction RSA 1 and, in the navigation tree, select Source Systems. Then your SAP ERP system for example is to be shown as source system.

● You have ensured that the Remote Function Call (RFC) connections between the source system and the BI system are working. To check this, call transaction SM59.

● You have ensured that you have maintained IDs for the source system in the BI system of SAP SCM. You can check this by calling transaction RSA1 and, in the menu bar, choosing ToolsAsgnmt of Srce Syst. to srce Syst. ID.

● You have ensured that the applications you want to use are set to active in transaction BF11.

● You have ensured that the names of the logical systems have been set up. You can check this in transaction WE20 under Partner Type LS.

● Make sure that in customizing for the demand history you have entered the fiscal year variant that you have defined for SPP. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization under Supply Chain Planning → Service Parts Planning (SPP) → Forecasting → Make General Settings for Demand History.

Installing Business Content Use The Install Business Content setting in the Administrator Workbench allows you to copy and activate the delivered Business Content. With this, all additional required objects, and the order in which they are to be activated, are automatically taken into consideration.

Procedure 21. In the Grouping menu option, select which additional objects of Business Content are

to be taken into consideration.

The settings are as follows:

○ Only necessary objects

Only the objects that are absolutely necessary to activate the selected objects are considered (minimum selection).

○ In the previous data flow

All objects that provide data for a collected object are collected.

○ In the next data flow

All objects that get data from a collected object are collected.

○ In the previous and next data flow

All objects that deliver and pass on data are collected.

○ Saving for system copy

You can use this setting to collect a share of the objects for a transport request. This request can be used again after a system copy.

22. Choose at least one object and insert them by dragging and dropping them into the window of the collected objects.

This step starts the collection of the additional objects.

The order and selection of the existing objects can be set up in the menu as follows:

a. InfoCubes

Listing InfoCubes and aggregates according to InfoAreas.

b. InfoObjects

Listing InfoObjects according to the InfoObject catalog and InfoAreas.

c. InfoSources

Listing the InfoSources according to master data and transaction data.

d. Object types

All objects are sorted by type (InfoArea, InfoCube, and so on).

23. For each type, use the value help to insert the selected objects in the tree.

This personal object list is saved for each user and can be reused when you start the program.

a. Objects in the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) Patch

All installed SAP NetWeaver BI patches are listed and have below the objects delivered for the first time or again for that particular patch.

24. In the Install column, check the selection fields.

Business content that is installed for the first time is selected as Fixed. For currently activated objects, you can choose whether you wish to keep these objects or reinstall them. If the content version and the active version can be merged, then this is marked in the Merge column.

25. In the Install Business Content menu item, you can do the following:

○ Simulate the installation

Since installation with a larger number of objects (especially when changing objects that are already active) can take a while, installation in the background is preferable.

Configuring System Aliases Use This procedure allows you to define or change the system aliases with the system ID and clients of the back-end systems to which you need to connect (for example, Q1P/400). The portal role System Administration should be assigned to your user ID.

Configuring iViews with System Aliases Use This procedure allows you to configure the iViews of the business package with the previously defined system aliases. The portal role Content Administration should be assigned to your user ID.

1. Log on to the portal.

2. Choose Content Administration → Portal Content.

3. On the Portal Content tab page, choose Content Provided by SAP → Content for Specialists → External Users in Service Parts Management → iViews.

4. Double-click on the iView that you need to change and enter the system alias in the window that appears on the right hand side (the System field in Property Category Content or Show all).

5. Choose Save.

Testing the Back-End Application Use This procedure allows you to test the back-end application and ensure that it works independently of the SAP NetWeaver Portal.

Procedure ...

1. Log on to the back-end application with the user ID that you need in the system.

2. Ensure that the required application is correctly displayed.

Testing the iViews Use This procedure allows you to test the iViews and ensure that the application is launched correctly.

Procedure ...

On the iView configuration screen in the portal's Content Administration, choose Preview to launch the iViews. The required application should appear in the launched iViews.

If the application runs when launched independently of the portal (as specified in Testing the Back-End Application [Seite 69]), but is not shown in the launched iView, there could be a problem with the system alias configuration. Check whether the protocol should be http or https.

Creating Portal Users Use This procedure allows you to create portal users.

Portal users are created with the same user IDs that are used in the back-end application. The user logon to the back-end uses Single Sign-On (SSO). You can assign the required roles to the users to access the applications.

Procedure ...

1. Create users in the portal with the same ID as is used in the back-end system.

2. Assign to the user the roles that contain the iViews that you want the user to see.

Your system administrator can assign the portal role Delegated User Administration to your user ID.

3. Choose Save.
