Can you see the ribbons on the line going out from the trawler? They cleverly act as a bird scarer so birds don’t get tangled up in the fishing line.

The picture shows how we can make sure we catch fish in a way that still looks after the creatures in the ocean!

And did you notice the fishing net has holes that are bigger than the small fish? This means smaller fish can escape. If we let small fish escape the nets this means they can continue to grow and have baby fish to increase fish numbers.

How can we fish and look after the ocean?
