Sportswear or active wear is clothing, including footwear, worn forsport or physical exercise. Sport-specific clothing is worn for mostsports and physical exercise, for practical, comfort or safety reasons.

Specialized garments include wet suits, jerseys and pants. Sportswearis also at times worn as casual fashion clothing.

Sportswear design must consider the thermal insulation needs of thewearer. In hot situations, sportswear should allow the wearer to staycool; while in cold situations, sportswear should help the wearer to staywarm.

Simply, it creates possibilities. With sublimation, you can use any color,gradient, font or effect that you can think of, design across seams,under arms, along waist- bands... all while maintaining the wickingproperties of your jersey as you play hard on the battle field.

Sublimation is a process whereby ink is actually burned into the fiberof the garment, as opposed to the way ink is caked on top of thematerial in conventional silk screening. The design is first rendereddigitally on a computer. Special papers are then printed with thedesign, and are placed face down in a heating press over white fabric.

As heat presses, it will print logo or text on the fabric and add yourflair to the design.

Sublimation apparel prints fabric (and other substances) thatprovides the best quality, most durable printing option. Insublimation, the inks are fused into the fabric as opposed to sitting ontop of the baric such as in inkjet or screen printing.

The process not only gives fabrics a softer touch after the printing, butit is also very durable.

The color remains strong in outdoor lighting and after extensivewashing so it’s the ideal process for sportswear and school clothing.
