Rumba (Sports Art – Boxing)Rumba (Sports Art – Boxing) Gallery ShowGallery Show

I was asked to do a show at Rumba in Santa Monica, Ca. and chose to paint and draw over 40 pieces of art for the month long show.

When I was a child I loved to watch boxing with my dad. watched "Gillette Friday Night Fights", "The Saturday Night Fights" and "The Wednesday Night Fights." These were the golden days of boxing with the great fighter like Sugar Ray Robinson, Archie Moore, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, etc. And I still have a great interest in boxing and continue to watch fights on a regular basis. Photos from the great old fights were reference material for some of the paintings and drawings.

Boxing paintings and drawings vary in size from 5 feet by 6 feet to 8” by 11 ½”

If you have an inquiry about pricing or comments about the my paintings you may email me or call me at my studio. I do not have a cell phone. I am generally in the studio five days a week starting around 8 until around 5 or 6. I don’t always answer my phone as my hands may be in a bucket of paint. But I will return a phone call as soon as I can. Also you may catch me in the evenings as I do sometimes spend the night in my studio.
