might last three or more hours.

Second, the field is divided into yards, each ten

yards there is a line with the number of the yard,

the annotation zone is on yard zero and each

team has their own half of the field. The mid

location is on yard 50.

Third, Each team is divided in three: offensive,

which has the ball and have to score, defense,

which is the part of the team that should prevent

the opposing offensive from scoring, and special

teams, which kicks the ball at some point and do

little at last.

Fourth, the Team scores when they reach at the

zero yards.

The people say that is the perfect

For many years, the Colombian soccer teams were financed by drug trafficking, which is one of the biggest problems that Colombia has faced throughout history. This financing led to the acquisition of famous soccer players by teams, allowing these teams to pay high wages, buy referees in order to win matches, and in many cases make threats to those who were against their interests.

As time was passing and how it has been occurring lately, the Colombian justice began a campaign to clean economic activity in the country from the money that came from drug trafficking, which included soccer.

The great work of the institutions of the Government made that the bubble that had been created, exploded, and an economic crisis began as a consequence. This crisis also affected the sport with most fans in our country: the soccer.

Professional soccer teams began to have problems with their cash flow because they didn't have enough money to pay the salaries to their great figures or to cover the different expenses that were a result of their sporting activity.

Despite all these conditions, the leaders of soccer have been pursuing measures in order to finance a good team and to offer a better show to the fans, and they have been achieving these goals through advertising contracts with known brands, television rights and conservative

The idea is that, as sport institutions strengthen, Colombia starts producing great players that will allow us to have the illusion of being on a world cup again, something we haven’t achieved since the world cup of France 1998.

Let us hope that with good leadership and hopefully with sporting triumphs, the conditions of the teams can be improved. And we must not forget that as I mentioned in a previous paragraph, this is the insignia sport of Colombian people and it is an entertainment alternative and an escape to various problems of our country. Likewise, it’s very important to say that the soccer generate a lot of jobs, in a country where the wealth is in a few hands.

They had to begin selling their players and as a result, the quality of the show wasn’t the best. This situation, despite having improved in recent years, has forced teams to use young players that are being formed in lower divisions. These young players, most known as the “future promises” of the Colombian soccer, only manage to play one game when a foreign soccer team already buys them and takes them to play out of the country.

Extreme Ironing is a new sport created in England in which people have to carry an iron and an ironing board to a remote location in the world and to iron some clothes for a few minutes while are practicing an extreme sport such as mountaineering, snowboarding, skydiving , etc. .. and have to make the best photo of their lives. According to their website, this curious and new sport is "the ultimate adventure activity that combines the thrill of an extreme sport with the satisfaction of having a well-pressed clothing.“ The first Extreme Ironing World Championship was held in Germany in 2002.

To iron is too boring, but for those who

practice Extreme Ironing, this activity will

not be anymore!.

If you thought that snorkerl practice was created for to swim in crystal and blue waters for appreciate the beautiful sea corals, colorful fish and magnificent underwater ecosystem, you are completely wrong, because in Bog Snorkeling the only thing that you´ll see is an incredibly smelly ditch dirty, because the goal of the sport is ensure that competitors will pass a terrible moment. Is a sport from United Kingdom and was conceived in 1976. The race is along a 55 m bog trench, in which the competitors have to complete two lengths. The snorkeler with the lowest time wins. Competitors have to wear snorkels and flippers, wet suits are optional and cannot use conventional swimming strokes. There are competitions in different categories like men, ladies and junior, which attract up to 150 competitors.

MUD OLYMPICS

Called Wattolympiade (meaning Mud Olympics), this event is held annually in mud flats along the banks of the Elbe River in Brunsbüttel near Hamburg, Germany. Competitions in the mud along the river here have been played since 1978. Mud Olympics include several sports: football in the mud, mud volleyball tournament, bicycle race on dirt, and other equally exciting and entertaining racing.

A goat dismembered and headless killed the day before, fast and hungry horses and riders without scruples, are the stars of this popular sport in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan which is listed as one of the most eccentric and macabre sports in the world. Traditionally, a goat is beheaded, its legs are cut at the knee level and its entrails are removed. The body of the goat is put in cold water for 24 hours before the game. The rider or team that is capable of throwing the dead goat across the goal line is the first to win. The game can take several weeks.

BUZKASHI A new kind of macabre Polo

If you always thought that boxing was just brute force and killing men to death, your perspective will change after you know Chess Boxing, a new type of intelligent Boxing! Where to win, you need the strength of your muscles and the force of your brain to win!. The Chess Boxing is an hybrid sport which combine chess with boxing. It was inspired by a famous cartoonist named Enki Bilal. The first global competition was held in 2003 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This sport is very simple, two opponents in 11 rounds have to combine chess and boxing, first with 4 minutes of chess and then with 3 of boxing, and between each round there is only a minute to rest, in this time the competitors have to change clothes. The mode is blitz chess, with 12 minutes of departure, and that can be won by checkmate, knockout or decision of the judges on the basis of the 12 minutes played. The purpose of the game is unknown, but it is clear that if you want to hit to opponent because he is winning the game of chess, this sport is perfect for you.

Gothic Rock is a musical subgenre of post-

punk that was formed around the 1970s. The

genre itself was defined as group of music

styles with dark and dramatic likes in

common, influenced by others genres of the

70´s such as Darke Wave. In the early 1980s

the gothic music started to be a genre and the

people who followed this movement was

recognized as “Gothics”.

The origins of the Term “Gothic” or “Goths”

are in Germany. The Goths were a German

tribe and they were called barbarous and

conquer too, very important during The

Medieval Time. Relevant in all the art forms,

the Gothic movement had a fascination for the

romantic things come from the religious

concept, the life and death, the good and bad,

the relation between the human and majestic

figures. Those were expressions for their

feelings and the way to change the real life for

fantasy and dreams.

Thence, born the style Gothic, the dark, black

dresses, black make up with red lipstick, the

melancholy and existential thoughts are

characteristics reflected in the gothic music.

The first bands of gothic rock music were

Bauhaus from Northampton, England (1978)

and Christian Death from Los Angeles,

California (1979). They were considered the

creators of the gothic rock. These were the

recognized bands because they combined

androgen voices with eco effects. They used

to play the guitars to make melancholic and

grim atmospheres and the bass guitar was an

important instrument joined the voices and the

drums had repetitive and constant rhythm.

In the beginning, they produced a

fragile, cold, and harsh sounds and

horror atmospheres like a theater

scenes, not depressing. But the

culture, the dark colors and the

social changes makes a lot of

reactions and different expressions

in the people. Others genres such as

gothic metal, death rock, glam rock,

cybergoth, synthpop, electrodark,

etc, were borned since gothic music

troughs.

Today, every tendency that was

influenced by dark and glommy

sound and images after the post

punk (1970) is living together and

sometimes is mixed.

Some recognized Gothics bans are:

The Cure, Bauhaus, Lacrimosa, The

Sister of Mercy, Siouxsie and the

Banshees, Joy Division and

Depeche Mode. Some famous

persons of The Gothic culture are:

Batman, Spaw, The Adams family,

The Munsters, The Crow, and

others.

At the beginning of the film industry,

the movies were quiet and all of them was based on the actors’ acting skills. Over the years the producers began adding sounds to mood the scene, and these days there is a whole musical industry who charges the magic into the movies.

The academy awards gives statuettes since 1939 to the best sound track which contains an initial song/theme that gives the beginning to the film, with Instrumental music behind and voice songs; and the original song appear at the end of the movie when the credits are being shown.

The last 20 years has been existed a lot of great sound tracks, the original songs are the most memorable, but not necessarily, the most popular song has won the Oscar. A good example could be the song “ I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing” in 1998 from Armageddon, but on that year the winner song as a best original theme was “When You Believe” from the prince of Egypt and the Armageddon’s song being the most popular even though it was not nominated.

They are many wonderful soundtracks, which bring us back to our minds a movie related whit, or who doesn’t remember what song launched to stardom to Whitney Houston? “I Will Always Love You” from Bodyguard movie in 1992. So when you listen the song “Gangster’s paradise” by Coolio what movie come to your mind? I’m pretty sure, you have many other soundtracks that you liked; you might choose to your favorite soundtracks and create your own list.

For further information… did you know that the Walt Disney Company has won eight academy awards in the last 20 years for the best original song? ! Yeah! The decade of 90s was amazing for animated movies, in those years they won an Academy Award for “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from Lion King Movie and for “Beauty and the Best”, performed by Celine Dion. The last one was from Toy Story 3 “We Belong Together” in 2010.

Finally, I want to show you my favorite’s soundtracks, I mean, some of them… These songs have been very important in my live, I enjoyed watching the movies and listening the songs.

We have been hearing about the group U2 for the past 36 years. Their success and the consistent publicity made around them have kept them famous for all these years. The band was formed in 1976 in Dublin (Ireland), and began to perform in the Mount Temple Comprehensive high school, where they found out through the bulletin board someone was seeking musicians to form a new band. This is how they met each other, and became one of the world’s biggest bands ever. It started off with four adolescent guys with poor knowledge in music but very good skills which developed with time. As today, it is still composed of Bono (the lead vocalist), Edge (singer and piano player), Adam Clayton (bass guitar) and Larry Muller (drums). In 1980, after four years together, they obtained their first recording contract with Island Records; their album “Boy” became famous all over the world. The lyrics in this new album distinguished itself from other rock bands at the time. Their songs touched on topics such as faith, spirituality, and death; matters that attracted the attention of the public. They

also picked some current topics from social politics, and their personal issues. Their music is considered post funk, with melodic instrumentals. Since they formed the group, they have been very successful in the music industry and the artistic business due to their good energy and the respect of their peers artists and critics. U2 has now composed twelve albums, sold over one hundred fifty nine millions records worldwide, and won twenty two Grammy Awards. Some of their most famous songs are “Sunday bloody Sunday”, “With or without you”, “Where the streets have no name”, “Lemon”, “The sweetest thing” and “Beautiful day”. In conclusion, U2 is an amazing band that has lead to great changes in the world of rock and helped to contribute to the development of the music industry all over the world. Currently they continue to explore new ideas for future songs. They are sill successful and continue to be one of the most important bands in the world.
