Sport plays a big role in the lives of British people.

The most popular sports include: • Cricket • Football • Rugby • Golf • Tennis • Horse racing • Polo • Badminton • Bowling • Fishing • Boat races (kayaking) • Chess.

Cricket

Team sport in which matches are played between two teams of eleven players. Originally from England, where a similar game was known at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.

Football Team game. It is the most popular sport at the world.

Rugby Popular term for team sports group with a common

origin. There are three main types of competitions: • Rugby union (in Poland is usually equated with

rugby) • Rugby 7 - managed by the IRB variant of rugby

union • Rugby League.

Moreover, there are versions of the noncontact (Parisian, tag rugby), beach, wheelchair rugby, rugby underwater and with other numbers of players (usually 9, 10, or 12).

Golf Sports grown in open grassy areas, consisting of

throwing small balls into holes in the ground (having the shape of a cylinder with a diameter of 108 mm) using special sticks beats. The objective of the player is throwing balls into the hole in as few strokes.

Tennis Sport played on a tennis court, consisting of piercing
