SRSA STRATEGY 2014 -19

During the strategy period 2014-19, lovelife will;

- Strategic implementing partner for government on issues relating to young people and in particular with SRSA for sports.

- Provide linkages with National Sport Federations and School Sport events

- Offer HIV and AIDS awareness campaigns, life skills training, learning materials and other resources to equip the coaches with the “soft skills” required for working with young athletes.

Awaiting for an official invite for the strategy meeting, however loveLife has been part of the Sport Lekgotla held at Carousel on the 10, 11 and 12 March 2017.

Ditsobotla Municipality Inclusion of loveLife plans in the municipality IDP for 2017/18

No progress to date. Dates being pursued with Mayor and Municipality Manager

Naledi Local Municipality Resolving infrastructure issue of the Y-Centre at Huhudi Stadium

Meetings held with the NalediMunicipality Sport Coordinator and agreements reached on what must be done. No changes yet from the side of municipality. loveLife to follow-up

Greater Taung Municipality Inclusion of loveLife on youth engagement programmes and plans

Strategy meetings with municipality planned for June 2017.

Challenges

• Significant amount of expenditure remains unfunded as the cost of implementation is higher than the grant income received. Consequently ,loveLife has had two restructuring exercises in 2016.

• Inability to deliver on projects that have external dependencies, leading to carry-overs of funds.
