The winners of the costume contest (pictured here) were: Olivia Garcia (Best Overall - Starbucks drink); Marcus Mittelstadt (Scariest - Grim Reaper); Atticus Snow (Funniest - Napoleon Dynamite); Grace Wood (Cutest - Nyan Cat); and Andrew Maurice (Most Creative - Ceiling Fan). !!!Dear Parent/Guardian, As the holiday season approaches, we realize that many of our own Park families are struggling to meet the financial demands of day-to-day life. Due to the loss of a job, illness, or one of many other reasons, families may question how they will provide a gift or two for their child(ren) this holiday season. Every child deserves to experience the joy of the holidays! If you are struggling this holiday season, we want to help! Please be assured that all requests will remain completely confidential. Only the social worker assigned to your child’s grade will be aware of your request. Each child is eligible to receive one “Necessity” and one “Gift”. A necessity may include things such as jeans, socks, coats, gloves, or boots. A gift is something your child would like (e.g., doll, building blocks, toy car, stuffed animal, board/card game, arts and crafts supplies). We ask that gifts are non-electronic and have a cost of no more than $25. Please fill out the attached form and return it to school no later than Friday, November 14th. In order to maintain confidentiality at all times, please return the form in a sealed envelope. If your child is in Grades K-4, mark the outside of the envelope with “Cheryl Davis”. If your child is in Grades 5-8, mark the outside of the envelope with “Kris Dugan”. If you have children in both Grades K-4 and 5-8, simply choose one of the social workers listed above. There is no need to send in separate forms. All children should be listed on the same form. If you have any questions (or need assistance during the year), please contact Cheryl Davis ([email protected], 847-201-7010 x2123) or Kris Dugan ([email protected], 847-201-7010 x2122). We wish you all the very best this holiday season! Cheryl Davis Kris Dugan Social Worker (Grades K-4) Social Worker (Grades 5-8)

Help us raise money the easy way! Turn your trash into cash for Park students

1. By clipping Box Tops coupons from brands like these >> you can help us earn hundreds of dollars! Just look for the logo on your favorite grocery brands. Simply clip them at home and send them in to the school. We’ll do the rest! You can also get us great rewards from Box Tops and Hanes! 2. Sign up for and use a TARGET Debit REDcard. This card couldn’t be easier! Ask for the simple application at the checkout or Customer Service desk. You can complete it in store or online at home. The card is directly linked to your bank account and acts just like your debit card at Target. It is not a credit card. When you apply for the card, be sure to sign up for the Take Charge of Education program. It’s a quick, vital extra step and TARGET will donate 1% of your purchases to our school when you designate Park Campus at target.com/tcoe. It amounts to Thousands of dollars for our kids! In addition, every time you use your Target debit REDcard, you’ll receive 5% off every purchase in store and online along with free shipping online, every time, just for using the card. Park Campus has earned over $9000 to date! You can check our balance on the card posted at each checkout or online at target.com/tcoe. Thank you cardholders! 3. You can also send in Labels for Education from Campbell’s soup, V-8, Spaghettio’s and Goldfish crackers! Our school can get cool stuff like iPads and Gym equipment! 4. Ink cartridges and your old electronics, like cell phones and GPS Units, are a big money maker for us. Just drop them in a bag and send them in! They help us reduce our carbon paw print!
