Chapter Three

Page 2: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Welcome back to the OWBC and thanks for tuning in! Last time, kids were born, G was finally abducted, Boom tried to break the Beyond Cheesy rules, and Orchid was discovered to be a creepy-smiler. Let’s start with a quick recap of the participants in this challenge….

Page 3: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Delano, our founder’s half-sibling, is the “spare” that’s being played along with the main family.

Page 4: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

He’s married to Stella, who came from the college sim bin.

Page 5: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

They have one kid, a boy. His name is Logan. I remember now, I had just finally seen the X-Men movies when he was born, thus the name. I’ll try not to forget again.

Page 6: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Over in the main house, we have Janna, the founder, who is also keeping in Base Game rules and stealing back Grilled, our gnome.

Page 7: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

She’s married to G, an awesome BV townie. He was impregnated by aliens the last update, so we get to add another baby to the household.

Sorry about the old pictures… I just realized that I don’t have many face shots of the parents. My whole storytelling folder is filled with pictures of….

Page 8: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom! <3 Boomerang is the eldest child of Janna and G, and this generation’s Bad Apple. She hasn’t been too much trouble so far. She’s maxed two skills already, even. She’s awesome.

Page 9: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Next in line is Orchid, our nine-nice-points little sister, although I think of her as the older a lot, since she’s the one that takes care of Boom. You know, making sure she eats and stuff.

Page 10: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Next is October, the eldest of a set of twins. He’s the one I think of as a Greek god. It’s the combination of his skin tone and full lips, I think.

Page 11: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

And here’s his twin, Ohme, the only kid who got G’s blue eyes. He was the youngest until….

Page 12: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This happened! Yes, G, you’re pregnant. I am so excited for the little green nooboo to make its appearance.

Page 13: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I also thought I’d finally give a tour of the house, which was just upgraded. Marvel at my building skills. *rolls eyes* So on the main floor we have the main room, kitchen, dining room, the master bedroom and bathroom, the nursery, another bathroom, a room for the skilling objects and yet another bathroom.

Page 14: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Then on the top floor there’s one more bathroom, a landing/main room, and the kid’s room. It looks like two separate rooms, but there actually isn’t a wall dividing them.

Page 15: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Where were we? Oh yeah, G got pregnant. Male sims seem strangely calm about this. If I was a guy and suddenly seemed pregnant I’d probably run around screaming. Or at least go and see a doctor.

Page 16: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom and Orchid get along great and I think Boom enjoys having someone her age in the house now. This is good for me, since I need someone to do Boom’s homework.

Page 17: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ooh, the Leader of the Pack. I do need a forum mascot….

Page 18: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“G? This is not normal.”

Page 19: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Hey, October. I think Dad might be pregnant.”

Page 20: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, look, someone brought Logan home. Also known as a visitor I won’t kick off the lot immediately.

Page 21: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This is where I took a bit of a risk. G’s Super Fertility benefit from being a Family sim was ticked off long ago, and there’s just enough room in the house for twins. It was with a lot of moaning and praying that I clicked the “original” button instead of “pick”.

Page 22: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Whew, just one. Meet baby Starla! I was in love with this kid the moment I saw her. She looks like she got a great mix from both of her dads….

Page 23: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom adores Starla. The first thing she did after school was high-tail it to the nursery, pick her up, and feed her a bottle.

Page 24: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

But she had to put her half-sister down to come see the twins grow up. (Oops, guess I better feed Albino.)

Page 25: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

October grew up quite fine. <3 He rolled Family.

Page 26: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ohme grew up nicely as well. He’s far from ugly, but with a brother like October, I fear the girls won’t pay him much attention. Ohme rolled Pleasure.

(I find it amusing that the twins grew up in recolors of the same outfit.)

Page 27: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This is a common sight in the house (along with the Chest Pound). Everyone loves playing Rock Paper Scissors.

Page 28: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

But Boom abruptly stopped the game to feed Starla again. Love you, Boom.

Page 29: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Then Orchid came over to play with Starla. Everyone in the house adores her.

Page 30: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Hey, guys, thanks for making me get up to feed the baby. Love you too!”

…Unless it’s the middle of the night.

Page 31: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Sorry, G, Boom beat you to it.

Page 32: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Two seconds later and October and Orchid are standing around the empty crib. I’m not too worried about Starla getting ignored since she’s the youngest.

Page 33: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

The DJ booth is the other item of interest. I see G and Janna have passed down the slap dance. This is good, it wouldn’t be college if there wasn’t slap dancing, and the kids will be heading off soon.

Page 34: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

October is friends with his sisters now, no longer rejecting almost every interaction they queue up. Or maybe he’s just behaving because his mom’s standing right there.

Page 35: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This round goes to October. Sorry, Ohme!

Page 36: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

In we go to another life stage where she’ll be swarmed around and almost loved to death.

Page 37: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Aww, she’s such a cutie!Starla’s a Sagittarius. 1 sloppy6 outgoing10 active10 playful8 nice

Page 38: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, look, another game of Rock Paper Scissors. Seems Orchid is better at beating Ohme than she is at beating Boom.

Page 39: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I guess I should mention that we have a cowplant now. I don’t have much for Janna and G to do, so I had them get jobs to earn some career rewards.

Page 40: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I came over one evening, too, and got to know the generation 1 kids.

Page 41: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Starla grew up to a child. I don’t have many toddler pictures because most of my time was spent trying to make sure her needs were taken care of instead of just being played Peek-a-Boo with for hours on end.

Page 42: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Aw, come on! What idiot put a trash can in front of the fridge?!” Yeah, nice try, Boom, I saw you going for it. I put out some grilled cheese for her but I guess she wasn’t hungry because she didn’t eat it.

Page 43: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Hi~! It’s a beautiful morning, isn’t it, half-siblings?”

Page 44: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Especially since there’s carpet.” Orchid, with her nine nice points, cried right after Starla shocked her. Starla herself is looking quite evil for someone with eight nice points.

Page 45: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Eh, I love her anyway. <3

Page 46: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This could come in handy…. *stows away*

Page 47: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

This is Arachane Brock. She’s a childhood friend of October’s who grew up with him. I just installed ACR, so I decided that they could choose if they wanted anything to do with each other.

Page 48: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, a nice game of Rock Paper Scissors. That’s the way to win a girl over.

Page 49: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ooh, I like her! If you want her, October, she’s yours!

(October rolled Grilled Cheese as his secondary aspiration, by the way.)

Page 50: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I didn’t really see anything special in Ohme when he was a child, but he’s really growing on me now. He’s become Boom’s unofficial “guardian”, almost.

Page 51: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

It’s also Janna and G’s birthdays today. (Geez, never a dull moment in an OWBC household.)

Starla: *covers eyes* Ewww, my daddy’s old!

Page 52: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ohhh, lookie here. Seems she’s not going to wait for you to pull a move, October.

Page 53: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom, I’m afraid, isn’t doing so well. She ran outside in between growing-ups to kick over the bin. I’m sorry, Boom, I just can’t figure out what you Want!

Page 54: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

She did this a bit ago at my simself’s wedding as well. I was using myself as a guinea pig to get used to ACR before I loaded any of my challenge houses….

Page 55: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“You better wipe that smile off your face RIGHT NOW, Asher. I’m enough pain that I’m not even worried about the person-person plus in my picture!”

They’re both Family sims.... So, ACR is working well for them.

Page 56: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

A few days later a burglar stole my hot tub.

Page 57: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

And I had triplets a few hours after. (I headdesked, I think.) Their names are Luke, Hope, and Charity.

Page 58: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Then I was knocked up again a few hours later. You guys are freaking rabbits in human form.Anyway, that’s when I quit, rubbing the red mark on my forehead.

Page 59: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Back to things that actually matter, Janna grew up in midst of all the commotion. And there’s Orchid, telling a dirty joke mere feet from her mother and her little sister. Suave.

Page 60: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Another reason Ohme is growing on me--- with his 10 neat points he autonomously cleans things! This is like the first time the house has been cleaned EVER.

Page 61: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom doesn’t appear to be feeling so great. I don’t know how low her aspiration is, but it can’t be good. *worries*

Page 62: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I had Ohme try lots of different interactions with her, including letting himself get whapped with a pillow, in hope that I’d see some aspiration points flying, but no such luck.

Page 63: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

She still seems to be functioning, and even cleaned the nasty shower.

Page 64: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

It doesn’t surprise me that Starla is good at lying. She’s cute enough to get away with anything, or get anything she asks for.

Page 65: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Now that she’s old and has nothing to do, I finally set Janna to work on her novel for the family scrapbook bonus. She still has brown hair since her hair doesn’t come in white. G’s didn’t either, so they get to keep their hair colors.

Page 66: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“*gasp* Oh no!”

What is it, October?

Page 67: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“I have acne!”

Oh, well, yeah, that’s a normal part of--

Page 68: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Don’t look at me, I’m hideous!”

Drama queen. Er, king. Whatever.

Page 69: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Why this picture amuses me so much, I’m not quite sure….

Page 70: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Founder novel, done.

Page 71: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Boom prefers the double bed, so G often gets stuck sleeping in the princess bed. I only mention this because my little brothers found it hilarious when they saw him climb in it.

Page 72: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

I hadn’t realized the synth was broken, but then I had it repaired and Boom went back to playing around with it. I was hoping for some aspiration points here, since she’s maxed creativity and must have pretty high Music & Dance enthusiasm, but it unfortunately didn’t help.

Page 73: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Really, guys? A dirty joke? Starla is standing RIGHT THERE.

Page 74: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Well, I just got the two-day pop-up for Boom, so it’s off to college the kids go. At this point, I don’t see how to prevent Boom from growing up badly. :(

Page 75: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Pfft, nice lumberjack outfit, October.

Page 76: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

What is with the vacation wear? Are my sims trying to tell me something? Oh, look, here comes Boom from the taxi.

Page 77: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, no. D: Of course she would have a fear of growing up badly!

Page 78: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Sigh. There’s nothing for it, I guess. It can only be uphill from here.

Page 79: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Now that Boom’s a young adult, I can click on her, but I can’t view her wants panel or her needs. I did get to see her personality, though. She’s an Aquarius. 2 sloppy7 outgoing5 active7 playful6 nice

Page 80: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

While Boom is drooling on the sidewalk, I should mention that Roxanne, our supposed placeholder, isn’t going to be in the house. She was glitching so that no one could invite her over so she could meet the gen 1 kids so she could pledge them in, so I had to move her out, then move them in.

That was a lot of “so”s in one sentence.

Page 81: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

My simself’s husband called a few hours after her breakdown for Boom. I like to think that he was checking up on her to see if she was okay.

Page 82: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh yeah, I should mention that I brought Arachane to college with my gen 1 kids. I checked all their tokens before they left to see if they had a “The One” yet. October had Archane as his, and I like to let my sims choose who they want, so here she is. Archane rolled Family. (Yes, I had to fix the “Grow Up” aspiration glitch again….)

Page 83: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

“Oh, yes, you’re such a good little baby!”

It was around here that I heard the “falling in love” music….

Page 84: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

It’s Arachane and October, in the hot tub.

Gee, you two waited a while.

Page 85: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Yeah, you can probably guess what just happened.

I don’t really care what my sims wear, but the matching wetsuits seem kind of strange, so that’s going to change.

Page 86: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Gah, Logan! *cancels interaction* I know you aren’t used to eating only Grilled Cheese, all day, every day, but that’s how things roll here. Look, there are some plates of it on the floor from someone’s inventory.

Logan, by the way, is Stella and Delano’s son.

Page 87: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Thank you, October. And that’s a much better choice of swimwear.

Page 88: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Darn! I was hoping that since Logan wanted to be friends with Boom, Boom wanted to be friends with him, but I guess not.

Page 89: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, you! No one touches my Bad Apple!! Especially when the poor thing had a breakdown yesterday.

Page 90: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ohme came over right after and gave Boom a hug. <3

Page 91: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Oh, now that’s a welcome sight.

Page 92: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

In hopes of seeing more aspiration points flying, I had October call the Matchmaker and I sent Boom to get a blind date. Because I’m doing the Nightlife bonus, every heir needs to see a Matchmaker date through to completion. I don’t know who the heir is yet but I might as well have them all do it and maybe I’ll get a spouse out of it.

Page 93: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Is that Mr. Big? I didn’t know you cared about how much money the guy that you’re dating has, Boom.

Page 94: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

The date ended as good. This Mr. Big has a weird slopey nose, but I don’t care. If Boom wants him, she can have him. I at least owe her that much.

Page 95: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

It’s really helpful to have a neat sim in the house. It was Delano last time we were here that made the beds and it looks like Ohme has stepped up to fill the bill.

Page 96: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Ohme gets his Matchmaker date the next day….

Page 97: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

He was given Lark Bass, who appears to also be a young adult. I don’t think she’s playable, is she?

Page 98: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Their date also ended as “Good”, which earned us another love note.

Page 99: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Whoa. Charles is after Cheese! Quick---uh, Logan! Tell him a joke or something!

Page 100: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Speaking of Arachane, October proposed to her. I know it seems quick. They haven’t even done freshman midterms….

Page 101: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

… This is why. They’re both Family sims, and they both rolled the Want, and I wasn’t going to deny them.

Page 102: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Now they’re done with midterms. Everyone got an A+, even Boom.

Page 103: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Now it’s Orchid’s turn for a blind date. I paid full price, since I think this sweetie deserves it after looking after her sister all those years before.

Page 104: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

She was dropped Jimmy Phoenix.

Yeah, he’s not impressing me.

Page 105: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

You rejected the end-of-date hug? You are definitely not going to be Orchid’s spouse.

This brings us to the end of the update. The heir poll is up now on BoolProp. Here’s a review of your choices….

Page 106: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

Orchid is the second child and is a very kind soul. She loves to tickle and hug other sims and was the one who looked after Boom when they were kids. She’s a Popularity/Knowledge sim and wants to become The Law, but I can’t see her being very strict. She’s one of the sweetest sims in my game. Aquarius1 sloppy5 outgoing5 active

Next in line is October. He’s a Family/Grilled Cheese sim and he wants to marry off 6 children. If he’s heir, I’ll have to try to sneak in his Matchmaker date behind Arachane’s back. Aries6 net9 outgoing8 active7 playful5 nice

Page 109: Spontaneous Sims--Chapter 3

And last, but not least, is Ohme, October’s twin brother. Ohme is a Pleasure/Family sim and wants to become a game designer. He didn’t stand out much as a kid, but now that he’s older, I’ve seen him start to get a personality. He really cares about his family, particularly his sisters, and keeps everything clean. I really like this one too. Virgo10 neat3 shy5 active

I don’t think you’re going to get much applause out of that, Charles.

And that’s it! Don’t forget to go vote– I’m glad it’s not my choice, I love all these kids.

Thanks for reading!
