CONGRESS PRESENTATION

Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the “Groupe Français des Peptides et des Protéines” (GFPP), the University of Normandy, and the Haute-Normandie and Basse-Normandie Regions, we would like to invite you to Portbail (Manche) to participate in the 19th Congress of the GFPP, which will be held on 17-22 May, 2015. The venue of 19GFPP will be the Village Vacances of Portbail, a small town located on the west coast of the Cotentin, facing the Channel Islands. A coach service will wait for you at the train station in Valognes, which can be accessed directly from the Saint-Lazare station in Paris. The Organizing Committee has prepared an attractive program that will cover all aspects of contemporary peptide and protein sciences in both basic and applied domains. The conference program will include a general-public lecture, 13 cutting-edge plenary lectures, 28 selected oral communications, and several dozen posters and partner exhibition stands. The social events, included in the registration fee of all participants, will include a get-together party on Sunday May 17, a banquet, and a music and dance evening. A half-day excursion in Normandy is also available at extra charge. A number of scholarships for young investigators (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) will be awarded and special consideration will be given to participants who travel from areas far from Normandy. We very much hope that you will be able to join us for the major national congress in Peptide and Protein Science in Portbail in 2015. You will have the opportunity to learn the most recent advances in these and related disciplines, to meet old friends and colleagues, and to establish new contacts working in fields similar to your own. areas of Peptide and Protein Science will attend the Congress.

Welcome to Portbail

The Congress will be held in Portbail, a beautiful town on the

west coast of the Cotentin, Normandy, with easy access from Paris.

Located on the seafront in Portbail in a setting of 6 acres dotted with

dunes, the VVF Village La Porte des Isles comprises 100 flats, renovated

in 2011, divided into hamlets, available for the duration of the event.

GENERAL TERMS OF SALE

Subscription To become a Partner or to reserve a stand, please return your registration form to the General Secretary of the Congress along with an 80% pre-payment. The balance of payment will be due by 30 April 2014, at the latest. No reservations can be made orally. The reservation and the settlement of the pre-payment are considered as a firm commitment and place the subscriber under obligation to accept the general and particular conditions of the sponsorship agreement and of the technical manual (if available) for the exhibitor (to be sent later to all companies having booked an exhibition stand). The non-payment of the outstanding balance by 30 April 2014 will constitute renouncement of the right to occupy the reserved stand; no reimbursement of the pre-payment can be made. Position and exhibition map Stands will be allocated upon receipt of reservations. After allocation, no change can be accepted without the organizers’ written approval. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify both the size and the disposition of the exhibitors’ reserved area, subject to approval by the GFPP Elected Council. Cancellation Cancellations of stand reservations or of any other kind of sponsorship arrangement must be requested in writing and addressed to the Chair of the Organizing Committee ([email protected]). Reimbursement subsequent to a cancellation will be subject to the following conditions: Before 17 January 2015: 25% of the total amount owed (including tax) is not refundable. Between 17 January and 28 February 2015: 50% of the total amount owed (including tax) is not refundable. Between 1 March and 29 April 2015: 75% of the total amount owed (including tax) is not refundable. From 30 April 2015: No reimbursement of payments received can be made. Force majeure In the event of a force majeure, the Congress and exhibition dates may be subject to change, or may even be cancelled. In the latter case, funds still available after payment of incurred expensed shall be distributed between the exhibitors in proportion to their payments without the possibility of any recourse against the GFPP. Insurance The undersigned waives all recourse against the GFPP and the proprietors of the premises and agrees to unilaterally take out appropriate insurance policies in order to cover risks relating to materials (theft, damage, etc.) and civil liability covering the signatory’s permanent or temporary personnel who attend the Congress. In no case will the exhibitor be covered by the GFPP’s own insurance policies. Miscellaneous booking and rental of advertising space Advertisers are asked to check that their advertising complies with French legislation regarding the advertising of pharmaceutical products and medical hardware. The GFPP will not on any grounds whatsoever entertain any complaints lodged after the end of the event. The organizer reserves the right not to establish a Congress partnership with any company or organization whose activities do not relate directly to the general topic of the event or do not comply with the standards imposed by the Organizing Committee. should be sent to the Organizing Committee, which will make the final decision regarding all applications. The exhibitor or sponsor undertakes not to organize any parallel event whatsoever throughout the duration of the GFPP Congress in Normandy region without having previously obtained the GFPP’s written approval. Furthermore the conference exhibitor or partner may only distribute advertising on its own stand at the exhibition or in the room that it has booked. Any infringement of the above stipulations may result in a claim being lodged by the GFPP for compensation. Exhibitor’s technical manual An exhibitor’s technical manual (if available) will be sent to each exhibitor who has booked and paid for their exhibition stands. This manual will contain all information relating to the general conditions, safety rules, assembly and disassembly of stands, deliveries, and forms for the booking of their services. Payment of invoices Settlement of payment may be made by check, by bank wire transfer or by credit card.
