Keiser University’s (KU) long-term goal of establish-ing a residential campus has been reached. For KU, the agreement results in the sec-ond West Palm Beach location and first residential campus in Florida. It ensures North-wood University students can complete their education ef-fectively and seamlessly. An-other exciting development was announced, the new Cen-

ter for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which is intend-ed to prepare graduates to start their own businesses and reach greater profession-al heights.

Regionally accredited KU

has served Florida students, families and the state for nearly 40 years, offering 100 degrees from the associate to doctoral levels, and a variety of customized training and business partnerships.

“A larger university pres-ence could mean more in-terns for local businesses, a better-trained workforce and a stronger selling point for luring companies to relo-

cate here,” said Dennis Grady, CEO of the Chamber of Com-merce of the Palm Beaches. “There’s the opportunity to further expand the higher ed-ucation opportunities on that campus, which is exciting,” he said. “More student enroll-ment raises it to a higher lev-el, and one thing Keiser Uni-versity has committed to in Palm Beach County is being a strong community leader.”

Recently re-elected Mayor Jeri Muoio was the March Trustee luncheon speaker. She thanked the Chamber for its support in her re-cent campaign and outlined some of her priori-ties in her second term.

She informed the group that new downtown trolleys will be appearing very soon. The city administration is continuing their work with neighborhoods and businesses on the South Dixie Highway Improvement efforts. She al-so shared her enthusiasm for the new spring training facility that will be developed at 45th Street and Haverhill Road.

More than 40 Trustees attended the lun-cheon; if you are interested in learning more about the Chamber’s Trustee program, contact Kelly Fanelli at [email protected] or (561) 833-3711 (ext. 235).

Mayor Jeri Muoio — partici-pated in the ribbon-cutting during the extravagant eve-ning, complete with live Latin American and jazz/blues mu-sic by Grammy nominee Mi-chael Moses, giveaways for Residence Inn vacations, and a puppy-shaped cake.
