Sponsor A Horse Program
Did you know that only 1 in every 15 horses taken in on trial actually works out as a therapy horse? The Bridge Center’s herd costs around $40,000 annually to cover their well deserved care. This program helps to offset the cost of general care, providing feed, shoeing, routine veterinary care, and supplemental services to our amazing herd of horses.
Our horses are gentle spirits, many of which are enjoying a second, or third career.
Riders and volunteers develop close relationships with their horse and through this
connection can experience the unconditional love of an equine. You can help The
Bridge Center by sponsoring one of our equine partners.
1. Select Your Horse
Each of our horse's have their own story., one of which will speak with you. We ask
that you select one of our horses to support at the riding center.
2. Select Your Gift
Caring for our equines is a labor of love, and one that goes on, all year round. We do this be-
cause they give us so much more in return. For the horse that you love, you can support them a
few different ways:
Full Sponsorship: covers their yearly costs of hay, grain, shavings, vet care, as well
as farrier needs. These gifts can be covered in monthly payments.
Half Sponsorship: covers their costs of hay, grain, shavings, vet care, as well as
farrier needs for 6 months. These gifts can be covered in monthly payments.
One-Time Gift: we know that not everyone can afford to cover the entire cost of
our beloved equines , so there are still ways your can support your favorite.

Princess: 25 year old Welsh Pony. Herd member since 2012
Previous Career: Therapy Horse
Princess has a special fan club of riders who love her the most and she loves them
right back! Princess is so careful and gentle with her little riders. She helps them
build confidence and meets their sensory needs with her bouncy trot.
Sunny: 26 year old Quarter Horse Paso Fino. Herd member since 2012
Previous Career: Trail Horse & Mom
Sunny is one of TBC’s most reliable therapy horses. Sunny is sensitive to her riders’
needs and helps them reach their goals with her sweet nature. Sunny has many
sensitivities herself, and has an extra understanding of her riders, that she treats
with extra care.
Meet Our Herd The Bridge Center’s Therapeutic Herd is made up of 8 amazing horses.
Each with a story as unique as the riders that they teach. They are all different ages,
breeds, sizes, and personalities. They each have strengths that make them amazing
therapy horses.
Read their stories and find your favorite, if you can pick just one!
Roxy: 25 year old Halflinger. Herd member since 2009
Previous Career: Short Stirrup Show Pony
Roxy has seen it all at TBC. She’s our been-there, done-that horse and always goes
the extra-mile to meet her rider’s unique needs. Roxy has been at TBC for a long time and requires a special supplement regimen to keep her feeling young. Roxy loves it when her riders feed her treats at the end of their lesson and will even “smile” for them!
Amber: 20 year old Connemara Buckskin. Herd member since 2018
Previous Career: Short Stirrup Jumper Pony
Amber’s quiet personality is a perfect match for the school groups that come each
week to TBC. These riders are always very excited to see Amber. She welcomes all
the children with gentle sniff and lets them pet her soft muzzle. Amber loves meet-
ing all the children that come to TBC and helping them learn on her back.
Belle: 18 year old Paint Cross. Herd member since 2018
Previous Career: Lesson & Camp Horse
Belle’s biggest attribute is teaching little children how to ride. Although she is big enough for an adult rider, she doesn’t really care for them! The smaller the
rider, the more Belle goes out of her way to make sure they are safe and having fun.
Cupcake: 14 year old Paint. Herd member since 2018
Previous Career: Dressage, Camp, & Lesson Horse
Cupcake arrived at TBC last summer and wowed everyone with her beautiful mark-
ings and friendly can-do personality. Cupcake gives her riders a safe challenge as they
learn to steer independently, and her smooth trot is just the right rhythm to learn to
how to post. Cupcake is as steady as they come. No matter what else is going on
around her, Cupcake listens to her riders.
Hubert: 10 year old Draft Cross. Herd member since 2016
Previous Career: Amish Driving Horse
Hubert is the largest horse at TBC weighing in at 1,800 pounds and standing 18 hands
high. You would think with his large size he would be intimidating, but most riders are
immediately drawn to him. His personality and heart are as big as he is, which makes
him desirable to all! Hubert’s greatest joy in life, other than eating, is working with his
therapeutic riders.
Jimmy: 16 year old Quarter Horse. Herd member since 2016
Previous Career: Hunter Jumper Horse
Jimmy is one of the taller horses at TBC. Jimmy wears special shoes on his
front hooves that keep him comfortable for his lessons. He needs a new set of
horseshoes every eight weeks to help riders lik gain confidence.
Tiimy: 25 year old Shetland Cross. Herd member since 2017.
Previous Career: Carriage Driving & 4H
Tiimy is the smallest horse at TBC. Tiimy’s special talent is to help TBC stu-
dents gain confidence working with horses on the ground. Tiimy is used in our
horsemanship classes and provides a less intimidating way to learn how to be
confident and safe with horses
Spirit: 14 year old Norwegian Fjord. Herd member since 2017
Previous Career: Lesson Pony
Spirit has a special knack for finding his way out of anything. He’s easily the most
creative horse at TBC. Students who work with Spirit unlock their creativity and
drive to accomplish anything they set their mind to!
