The Second technique of Gazing (Tratak) to see Aura

    A. Get the below mentionedchart framed with a non glareglass on it.

    B. A f t e r d o i n g y o u r

Pranayam and chanting Pranavfor three times sit comfortablyand easily in a lightly lit, almostdark room having a white wall or aback ground and place the frameat a distance of seven to ten feet'son the white wall in such a waythat the center spot islittle higher then theeye level.

    C. Rotate your

    e y e s v e r y s l o w l y around the picture insuch a way that youc a n m a k e a nobservation of everyd i m e n s i o n f r o moutward to inward inthe chart.

    D. M o v e y o u re y e s v e r y s l o w l y looking at each andevery line, circle,triangle or square inthe chart, start fromthe top-outside end,slowly moving youreyeballs in clockwise movementgoing to the inner surface.

    E. When your attentionreaches the center dot, keep yourbody relaxed and still and withoutblinking start gazing at the dot.

    F. In the first week do this forfive minutes.

    G. While you are gazing atthe dot slightly move yourattention to the outer surfacekeeping your eyes still at thecenter.

    H. You will see the Aura of the

outer surface of the diagram.I. After a week's period you

can increase your gazing timefrom five minutes to eight to tenminutes, now you can start thepractice of seeing human Auralike mentioned in technique one.

    J. This exercise will alsoi n c r e a s e y o u r m e m o r y ,concentration, will power andintuition.

    K. Please practice this only

    after doing Pranayam and Pranavchanting.

    L. Be sure that you don't rushto increase the time of Tratak, gradually increase gazing for fiveminutes every week.

    M. Do not go beyond thirtyfive minutes of gazing constantly.

    N. Do not practice gazing formore then two times a day.

    O. In warmer countries donot over do Traatak in summers, reduce the gazing time in thesummers as a lot of heat isaroused in the body by Traatak, and over heat can cause healthproblems like acidity etc. or will

    Aur a 6 - Hitesh Gu ruji January 2011

    make you angry.

Immediately stop this practice ifyou find any kind of restlessness, difficulty, itching in the eyes or if

    you feel a giddy sensation. If youcontinue even after the abovesigns then sometimes thec o n s e q u e n c e s m i g h t b edangerous and the author will notbe responsible for it.

    Negativity:

    S h a p e s f o r m i n g i nnegativity:

If you see a break in theoval shape of an Aura, then know that negativityhas started to enter that Aura. A perfect ovalshaped Aura means anAura sans negativity.

    C o l o u r s f o r m i n g i nnegativity:

If you see patches of dirty

colours like black, grey, brown, sharp dirty greenetc., then understand thatthe person is sufferingfrom negativity and the body part where you see

    these patches is affected bynegativity.

If you see black, charcoal, grey, muddy brown and pale pinktogether in a persons' Aura then

understand that the person hasserious illness in that part of thebody.

Decrease in size of Aura innegativity:

An average human's aura has tobe around four to five fingers thatis, approximately four to fiveinches big. A bigger Aura than fivefingers indicate that the person isspiritually advanced, in goodhealth, stress- free and negativity

    free.

A smaller Aura then the averagesize means the person is sufferingfrom bad health, negativity andstress. If a pale Aura is lesser thenthree inches or fingers then keep aconstant watch on the persons'Aura. If you see it decreasing, dayby day then understand that thereis a threat to life for that person, insuch a case do the followingimmediately:

    Ask the person to see ag o o d d o c t o rimmediately. Make himgo through a proper

    s e s s i o n o f A u r ac le an si n g . Ask theperson or the person'srelatives to chant theMaha-Mirtunjay Mantra(The syllable to win overdeath and diseases) orMaha-Mirtunjay BijM a n t r a ( T h e s e e dsyllable to win over deathand diseases) for thirtysix thousand times, if it is

    not possible for themthen either you do it forthem after taking theSankalp (determination)o r g e t i t d o n e b y someone. The Maha-M i r t u n j a y M a n t r a ,Maha-Mirtunjay BijMantra and the methodof Sankalp is givenbellow.

    Maha-Mirtunjay Mantra:

Aum Triambakam YajaMaheSughandhim Pushti VardhanamU rv a Rukmi v a Ban dhan atMirtyor Mokshi Maa-amritatAum

    Meaning:

Aum O one with three eyes (one

who can see all the three tensespast, present and future) I pray to

    Aur a 6 - Hitesh Guru ji January 2011

thee, make me smell good andholistically healthy, like a bird orcucumber (immediately andeffortlessly) free me from the bondages of death but not fromthe nectar of immortality Aum.

    Maha-Mirtunjay Bij Mantra:

    Aum Houm Jhoum Saha Aum

Chant the Maha-Mirtunjay BijMan tra i n ste ad of Maha-Mirtunjay Mantra only if there is adifficulty in chanting Maha-Mirtunjay Mantra. Starting fromany good day any of the abovemantras is to be chanted 36000times in front of an energized andsanctified Maha-Mirtunjay Yantra. Males must complete itwithin 42 days and females mustcomplete it in around 21 to 24days in-between their twomonthly cycle which is their cleardays.

    Blocks formed by negativity:

    i. The negativity causes blocks in the energy centers(Chakras) in the Aura.

ii. The negativity makes usdull, inattentive, dreamy, ill, depressed and inactive.

    iii. These blocks can be seenby a clairvoyant ort h e p e r s o nhimself can feelthem in form ofi l l n e s s , p a i n ,phobia etc.

iv. They haveto be attainted very fast beforethey become oldand deeply rootedin our system, it iseasy to remove an e w b i g d a r k patch of negativityby Aura cleansingor Aura cleansing

Leading w ith Spirituality 5 - Dr. Amit Nagpal January 2011

Developing Intuition for right decisionsAlbert Camu says, Man is the onlycreature that refuses to be what heis. The universe is ready toprovide limitless information,

which we can receive at consciousand unconscious levels in variousways. We may receive informationthrough our senses, intuition anddivine but we build barriers andrefuse to be what we can be. Whatare the barriers which stop thenatural flow of this information? Are these barriers internal orexternal? How do we break these barriers? These are some of thequestions which come to our mind

as we grapple to use our intuitionto make decisions. As we developour intuitive abilities, we muststruggle with forces such as fear, negativity, stress and lack of faithin higher consciousness, which actas barriers. The best tool we can use to breakand destroy these barriers isspirituality. Once we are able to dothat our decision making (one ofthe most critical skills for

leadership) becomes very easy andnatural. In the beginning of ourspiritual journey, more and morequestions arise in our mind, and aswe progress we receive few hints atanswers which later on becomecomplete answers and over aperiod of time a strong sense ofintuition starts emerging, whichstarts replacing intelligence.Intuition is defined as the directexperiencing of truth without any

reasoning or perception. Intuitionis a higher Knowledge and being aspiritual gift, it is full of vitality andinspiration. It enables us to get ananswer in a matter of secondswhich may otherwise take months, years, decades or even a lifetime. All insights that we get are notintuitive and they can come fromother sources such as instinct, feeling, thinking, interpretation orassociation. When it is intuition

you know why it happens, what thereason is, what you are learning,

what is its use, what is possible and what is not? If you have noimmediate answers to this thenprobably you are dealing withsources other than intuition.Instinct is a lower intuitive formbased on history. Feeling is a kindof an inner urge to do somethingbased on subconscious. Thinking is based on rationality and whato t h e r s h a v e t a u g h t y o u .Interpretation is when you thinkyou know what the situation or theother person means. Association isthe emotional baggage of the past.Intuition occurs beyond the

rational mind and senses in certainlevel of our consciousness. As onelearns to still the mind throughobservation, contemplation, breath and focused meditation,o n e d e v e l o p s a l e v e l o f consciousness which is more opento intuition and sixth senseperception. Intuition does notreally merely bring an addition tothe five senses, but rather anintensification of all the five senses.

Spirituality is an inner knowingand you need to be intuitive to bespiritual. The most important spiritual toolis meditation and learning to live inmoment is the simplest form ofmeditation. Unfortunately due tonoise of the modern world, living inthe moment is hard to do. One canpractice to live in the moment bycontinually paying attention to theenergy one sends into the universe.

More often than we would like, theenergy from our primitive ego isn e g at i v e e v e n thoug h ourconscious intention is to becompassionate.Albert Einstein says, The intellecthas little to do on the road todiscovery. There comes a leap inconsciousness, call it intuition or what you will and the solutioncomes to you and you don't knowhow or why. The more time you

spend with yourself, your intuitionincreases. Meditation helps center,

focus and align oneself to higherenergies and awareness states. When you allow yourself to stepout of your mind now and again, you become more open andconscious human being.Rumi says, Go within; hear thestory of sunrise from the Sunitself. Once you are firmlyconnected with the Divine withinyou, you can readily access yourspiritual abilities or develop newones. Initially it is a one offexperience but with morepractice the blissful state can beachieved within minutes offocus. Patience and perseverancea r e n e c e s s a r y b e s i d e sdetachment with results. It iscritical to detach with the results, because when one follows ordoes certain spiritual deeds forthe want of a result, the resultevades.Jansenius says; Intuition isEnergies which need to benurtured and educated. Actingour intuition develops our

intuition and first of all we needto trust our intuition. In a wayintuition is nothing but guidancefrom the divine. The more weconsciously connect with oursurroundings and pay attentionto the 'still small voice within' themore we will be able to developour intuition. Deepak Choprasums it up perfectly, The soul isobserver, knower, creator, v i s i o n a r y a n d d i v i n e

simultaneously.Edgar Cayce says, Depend moreupon the intuitive forces fromwithin and not hearken so muchto that of the outside influences, but learn to listen. The way tosharpen intuition is the same asany other skill. Access itfrequently and do it playfully.Using intuition with a sense ofgrat i tude encourages theUniverse to continue making

consciousness has always beentrying to communicate with us; it'sjust that we seldom took the call. Active Imagination, (a techniquedeveloped by Carl Jung in the early20th century) is an excellent

    t e c h n i q u e f o r i m p r o v i n gcommunication with the HigherConsciousness. Intuition has to befollowed by action otherwise it willonly become a cause for suffering. We need to recognize andacknowledge that a spirit worldexists to guide us. Sometimes onegets messages in the form of visuals y m b o l s o r p i c t u r e s a n dsometimes it tells you what isabout to happen. Another theory is

Morphic Resonance by RupertSheldrake which states that allspecies are interconnected not just by genes but by a field ofconsciousness that is like acollective memory and to which wecan connect directly. Through thisresonance, intuition sometimesgives us sudden insights andpremonitions and it increases withpractice.Another simple technique is to just

close your eyes and believe inhigher consciousness. If we askquestions in the right state of mindduring relaxation and meditation, the insights tend to be intuitiveand correct for our higher selves.Or you can go to the fields toconnect with Mother Nature.Gratitude is critical and you muststart your day by being gratefuland start it joyfully as a gift of theSupreme.

John Murphy has formulated asimple tool called The Ring ofPeace, a four-step, cyclic modelthat helps raise intuition andconsciousness. The four steps areLet Be, Let Go, Let See and LetFlow which are then repeated as acycle. With Let Be, we live in themoment. We feel gratitude andappreciate silence, meditate, or atleast contemplate everything we

do. If we fail to 'Let Be' whatalready is, we live in a state of

anxiety, fear and self-denial.With Let Go, we release all tension, guilt, grief, fear, doubt and egotemptations and barriers. If we failto 'Let Go', we live in a state ofresistance and attachments,

meaning we are resisting thenatural flow of life by clinging topast memories, subconscious beliefs, etc. These attachmentsprevent us from feeling free.

When we 'Let See', we see theworld very differently. Some of thepeople and things we foundannoying earlier now appear to usin different perspective. Weexperience more meaningfulconnections and therefore become

more creative and playful. This leads to 'Let Flow', a state of being in effortless joy and grace. The more we practice 'The Ring ofPeace, the more peace and grace we experience.' Being a spiritualmodel, The Ring of Peace is holisticin nature. There really is no singlemost important step and all area c t u a l l y h a p p e n i n gsimultaneously when activated. Inother words, when we are in flow,

we have let be, let go, and let see.We allow flow though it was alwaysthere. We all are in bright daylightwith a blind fold and to return toour true compassionate nature, the only thing we need to do is toremove the blindfold. If you are at lower level ofconsciousness, consciousness offear, right/wrong, then you areunable to experience the spiritualgifts of intuitive abilities. Fear

keeps us from experiencing thedivine within each of us. You needt o d r o p a l l e x p e c t a t i o n s ,attachment and cultural traditionsto free the truth to appear. People who tend to train their intuition will notice that some substancesalso block their development forexample, alcohol, soft and harddrugs, certain medicines, and soon. For those who already have a

    strong intuition, they can advancef u r t h e r w i t h t h e h e l p o f

Shamanism and Kundalini Reiki which work directly with yourintuition. A silence retreat of 10-days Zen or Vipassana or a VisionQuest can also be undertaken.Learn to get in touch with silence

within yourself and know thateverything in life has a purpose.Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

    The Sacred Threshold

Kundalini is an evolutionary energy that isdesigned for humanity's next step toward aluminous physical and spiritual expression.

The Kundalini is in everyone. It is an untappedresource of divinity within us all that is waitingto be awakened and experienced. Never has thetime been so right and crucial for a change ofthis magnitude to be explored and initiated.

    K u n d a l i n i i s a v e r y p o w e r f u l a n dtransformative energy located at the base of thes p i n e

At-oneness is indeed a simulacrum of the truereality. And as death approaches it is this statethat will beckon one to step into the truth ofone's existence. Not to say that death is eminent

    or fast approaching but that it is always there. Ahidden gift surrounded by fear, lest peoplea b a n d o n t h e l e s s o n s t o o s o o n .

You are, we are, all at oneness with each otherand all creation. All the time without knowingit, we wear blinders and follow straight andnarrow paths that we may focus on the tasks athand. Paths that will lead us onwards towards asacred and divine companionship such as theKundalini.

An individual must complete some lessons beforethat however. Nobody is excluded from this processexcept as their own self dictates. These lessons are

similar and different for each person. Some helpfulareas of expression during these lessons are: Beingan excellent parent and lover and productive in thesocietal responsibilities. Being helpful and harmlesstowards ones fellow creatures or as John Muir putit, being kind to all fellow mortals

It is uncommon for one to be guided into evil andh u r t f u ls i tuations

petty tyrant will serve a purpose. And the pettytyrant will receive that service another time. We taketurns helping each other in the All that Is. Karma willask this of us.

As a soul reaches a certain level in the course work, one is exposed to higher and higher states of being.

Higher and lower are only serving as a reference inthis limited physical reality for organizing theseconcepts in a way that is recognizable for you hereand now. As one reaches these areas a great thirst forknowledge ensues and is forever incorruptible in itsnever ending search for the well springs andambrosia of divine truth and love.

As these doors open for you so too must you openyour doors to it. Complete surrender to these forcesof oneness is the lesson and the reward. As you begin

to see outside your fears of the unknown and reach

into the threshold of oneness and joy, anexpansion of self will be your experience and

yes, a multi-sensorial and multi-dimensionalscattering of your intact awareness will occur.

You will be 'At one' with all creation and yourselfat the same time. Starting here on this world andthen, as you evolve, to all creation. You are nowcautiously approaching this threshold.Beginning to question your physical existenceand its effects upon your spiritual growth. From

job and relationship to survival. Of course any job willcompetefor yourattention

    r i g h tn o w .

So doess o c i a lacceptanc e a n dtraditional valuessometimes take a person away from their truthand power? This is merely more course work.

The balance is found eventually. Soon you willnot be concerned about how others feel about

you. Or wish to continue the political strugglingwithin the construct of a University of mentalprowess and reach instead for a University of

All-ness, encompassing the social, and physicalstructural norms but going much further intothe quantum as the physicists like to use.

The Kundalini is the key for the lock on the door.It is the sacred rupture of the physical into the

Divine. Birth into an awareness of divinetransition, tracking the process that is usually

The Sacred Thr eshold - Master Chrism

clouded by death but now illuminated from withinand loved and cherished and never forgotten.

It can be said with utter truthfulness that death is being experienced by you now, and life is being

    experienced by you now, at the same time, in itsfull strength and glory but without the cessation oflife in the physical organism. A gift of creation tolive and die continuously. This is our destiny as wei n c a r n a t e t h e t e m p l e o f f l e s h .

Will it besooner or later? There is no rush. Neither islaziness a virtue.

This time line will be determined by you. Myteaching to you is to stop being controlled by yourfears in all forms, without stepping into selfannihilation. Stay alive and witness the event ofdeath without dying! Enlightenment and divinelove! Step through the sacred doorway and transitit as one uses a doorway. At will! Bringing yourgifts back to those who will be thirsting for suchknowledge.

The evolution of Financial Healer is a process that hastaken many years. I originally started as anaccountant, then moved into finance broking, whichinvolved spending many hours working withindividuals and small businesses putting togetherfinance applications; and even in those days I wassurprised at how many people were quite happilyliving beyond their means, funding the shortfall between income and expenditure by chargingexpenses to credit cards. This process worked whilethe credit cards kept extending lines of credit andhouse prices were consistently rising so they could re-mortgage from time to time to clear the credit cards, but it was clear to me that this was unsustainable, andthat the behaviour was being driven by somethingother than clear thinking. I had been meditating formany years, and regularly attended weekendworkshops on guided meditation and had always beenlooking for a way to bring the spiritual life into thephysical dimensions and in particular into the world offinance. My wife had died of cancer in 1999, and in2005 I had been doing some volunteer work at acomplementary cancer clinic near Bristol in the UK,and I found myself in a meeting sitting next to a ladywho was the Regional Training Officer for the NationalFederation of Spiritual Healers, now the HealingTrust. She convinced me that I could make a good healer, andhaving completed the two year training course in2008; I realized the best way to use my new foundskills was to combine the financial background withthe healing skills and set up Financial Healer inJanuary 2009. I quickly trained in EmotionalFreedom Technique (EFT) and the derivative fromthat, Matrix Re-imprinting, and started working withclients. It very soon became clear that everyone Iworked with had the following problems:The issues behind financial meltdown stemmed fromideas about money picked up from parents inchildhood.

It is essential to deal with the financial problem at thesame time as looking at the spiritual issues behind theproblem. In every case the solar plexus chakra was seriouslyknotted with worry and in many cases the heart chakrawas showing abnormal coloration and distress. In the majority of cases at some point in the healingexperience the client would say, I never wanted to be a., I always wanted to be a . This is the key turningpoint and this is the stage where left brain comes backinto play and I work out a financial strategy to get themto where they can express the soul purpose within

them.Using the Matrix Re-imprinting techniques evolved inthe UK by Karl Dawson over the last few years it is

possible to change the movie which runs in the sub-conscious and will continually sabotage anyattempts to change the outer life. Until the inner lifeis changed, and the processes in the sub-consciouswhich control over 90% of the thinking process arerewired, the outer life will go through the same playbut against different scenery. My basic meditation technique is one learned fromthe Ishayas, and the key text we work with is theYoga Sutras of Pantanjali. The key Sutra which isdriving this whole exercise is Pada 2, Sutra 38: Theultimate act of healing others is a spontaneous flowof energy from the infinite into the finiteboundaries of their minds and hearts. If the work Iam doing here can just help one person to find theirsoul purpose and express the divine within, then I

am a happy healer! Here are few case studies:'AS' is a very likeable guy in his 50's with an MBAand a positive work attitude, but has always been introuble financially and has been bankrupt. Westarted working with the 'Inner beliefs aboutmoney' guided meditation, and this showed hisinner 'garden of beliefs' to be completely barren andresembling a bomb site. We did some repair work toput positive and vibrant energy there and thendiscussed how far back he could sense this feeling ofdesolation. This went right back to childhood and in

particular to the relationship with his mother. Hehad an elder brother who was very clever and hismother would always tell him he would never be assuccessful as his brother. This message stuck withhim at the sub-conscious level and this clearlysabotaged his attempts at financial development. We then used the 'Healing the family tree'meditation which looks at the soul connecting withparents and discovered he had a memory of a schoolend-of-term evening in front of all his classmatesand teachers and parents where he thought he haddone a superb rendition of a poem, but everybody

laughed at him. He ran off the stage and went intothe ante-room where he poured himself a drink, butthe assistant head teacher found him there andslapped him hard. The effect of being ridiculed andthen being slapped caused enormous emotionalstress that locked in at a cellular level. We did a'Matrix re-imprinting' session to replace thetraumas of that day, and then started a chakrabalancing session to clear negative energies. Duringthat session I noticed a black angel in his heartchakra and was told that it had been there for a longtime and needed to be removed. We worked on that

with help from higher beings, and during the nextsession started work on a business plan which

would get him to where he wanted to be in this life.'LF' is a mature lady who originally was referred tome with a credit card problem, which wasexacerbated as she was being treated for cancer atthe time. Again the inner beliefs around moneyshowed a barren wasteland covered with weeds, so

having cleared that we looked back at her earlyyears, and I was amazed when she told me that hermother never wanted a daughter, and it was onlywhen she went to school at the age of 5 that shediscovered that her name wasn't actually Bob. We worked again with the 'Healing the family tree'technique, and this brought up a memory of beingin the womb and not being wanted. We then didthe 'Matrix re-imprinting' technique from themoment of birth, when she chose many friendsand respected figures, including Jesus and theDalai Lama, who were all sitting round eating

coffee ice cream! She started feeling much betterabout herself from that point on, so we looked intowhat is happening on her cancer journey. The bigissue at that time was whether or not to continuewith Tamoxifen treatment for the cancer. We didan inner journey around this, and she saw a raftloaded with boxes of Tamoxifen floating down ariver, so she decided to discuss with her Oncologistwhether or not to continue with this treatment. Wethen looked at her career and she was aware thateverything she had done had been based on tryingto win her mother's love and affection. Hence, we

did a meditation to draw down her future self andcreate a career she would want for herself. Sheremembered she had always wanted to work as asculptor but had been told by teachers and familythat this would be impossible, but we have nowproduced a business plan to get her to where shewants to be with this project.'AB' is a delightful young lady, but had just beenthrough a difficult divorce and had financialchallenges when I first met her. Her bank told herthey wouldn't allow her to raise money on herhouse to clear her husband's share of the property, but I was able to find a lender who would do this. We set this in motion and then started on theemotional clearance work to clear all theemotional trauma of the divorce and what hadbeen going on in the marriage. As the emotionsaround the marriage cleared we became aware of adeeper level of healing required around therelationship with her father. He had been a verysuccessful lawyer and insisted his daughter shouldalso study law. She took a law degree and did herbest, but it never worked out and when I met hershe was working for a relatively modest wage for acharity. During a guided meditation she statedthat she wanted to do a course which would enable

her to study a form of psychology based on Buddhistprinciples, which suited her as a practicing Buddhist. Icalled the new mortgage lender and arranged for her tohave a line of credit which she could draw down at the startof each term, and she is now working on the first term of thiscourse. We then had a session on fears about money, and

produced a budget for the year which would cover all herrunning costs and enabled her to have a holiday with herdaughter. We have a process where she now looks forwardto opening the bank statements instead of leaving themunopened in a pile, as she can measure her own financialsuccess. The last time I called her to book a session she saidshe didn't need one as everything is going so well!

it's not being how negative towards life,

It's not about how much time you are into a particular relationship

January 2011Love & The Divine Curr ent - Master Chr ism

The foundation for all matter is love. For all spirit and for all consciousness and for all physical expression. It is the onlyexpression. All life and all existence is a condition of this principle. As we are behind the veil and the forces of life and thestresses of civilization interrupt our vision, we experience love through a very limited range. Yet even in our blindness andhardships love is a beacon that will illuminate our path if we will only choose to acknowledge its force and live by itsintegrity.

Our bodies down to the cellular and sub-atomic levels are compact communities of love. Every cell is living this truth when itundergoes its duplication and initiates its function. There are approximately 7 trillion cells in the average human body. Allliving in agreement with one another. Working towards the same goal. There are many more cells in one human being thenthe total population on this Earth. Living in harmony. Living the integrity of love. As the bladder works with the kidneys andthe lungs work with the heart, the stomach with the intestines all work in a distinct and collaborative effort to keep us alive. The gift of life is from love. The force that binds our communities of cells into complete and distinct individuals is love. Strength, courage, forgiveness, compassion, gratitude, joy, abundance, honesty, and trust are just some of the facets of this binding pro-creative spiritualforce. When the Kundalini is activated and awakened this love is amplified into its abundant, outside our veil of typical expressionand understanding and strength. An evidence of its amplified connection through the veils of our reality into our physicalbodies is its high voltage emotional discharge that is quite beautiful and profound in its experience. This brings the Bliss andthe Ecstasy.

These are the qualities of love. Surges of love flowing and exploding, encapsulating, healing and extending into every placesacred and dear to us. Our hatreds and shames, judgments and brutalities are no match for this sacred divine essence. It willcleanse and heal our relationship to others and ourselves. It will vivify the divine seed that is within our heart andimpregnate our entire being with its divine imperative. Even if you have never considered yourself a spiritual person, lifebegins to take on a completely new focus for you. Service to others and love, in its myriad forms, takes priority. This is whatwe are striving for.

    Love

In truth within our limited unawakened form we are able to appreciate only a fraction of the Absolute. With Kundalini howeverthat appreciation is increased tremendously compared to the unawakened state.Divinity has no such restrictions. As we are molded from the divine and yet entangled into believing we are not so; are we allowed to rediscover that which is oursalready? Kundalini allows this to be experienced on tactile levels as well as all the other levels within its purview. The absolute IS!It is what you see all around you and what you are at your core. It is as in the song that was given for me to share: See love in allthings. All things mean all creation. Shakti Kundalini is as a manifestation of the overt divine current into the grossly physical systems. The physical will need to come into a degree of frequency for this to occur. When a spirit takes a body the body is in fact designedspecifically for that spirit from the divine current. Through this design certain variables are given into the construction of thebody and these variables are the spiritual properties of soul evolution of the being that is going to occupy that body. This is where Karma comes into the picture. As the body is developed and the evolutionary values (karma) are added to it the determination of the ability or not of theensouled individual attaining the manifestation of the divine current (Kundalini) while in the body is made.Through this determination the pattern of probability is offered to the degree that the soul's evolutionary values will respond tospecific choices made by the individual towards specific frequencies of interactive manifestation to the divine current that isflowing around and within all creation. From these parameters, unique for each person, is the divine current communicated with in the ways specific to eachindividual. From these choices based upon the initial prerogative of the ensouled individual are choices offered andconsequences given that allow for us to evolve in the body as we make choices that are conducive towards this development.Kundalini is a threshold event where choices have been made that allow for a complete transformation of all of the frequencieshoused within the human expressive envelope. Everything is changed to specific degree that is once again unique to theindividual, and yet expressive of what Kundalini does to the body.Kundalini is our overt and conscious interwoven communication and interaction with the absolute. The exaltation of the fleshthrough spiritual evolution. We swim in the divine current rather than blindly walk through its puddles. In serving theKundalini we are in actuality serving the divine current for its expression through us.

January 2011Spiritual Awak ening and Jour neying with the Run es

The runic method of divination entails placing theindividual's present conditions or elements against thecontext of an overall spiritual journey. The runes aregenerally classified into three segments or 'aetts', each

    containing 8 runes symbolizing a progressive step in thespiritual odyssey, which culminates in true maturity. Ateach step of the journey the traveler, who is the personusing the runes for spiritual development, encountersobstacles, receives gifts, and learns vital lessons as hemoves fromone level toanother, one' a e t t ' t oanother. Thef i r s t ' a e t t 's t a n d s f o r' D i v i n e

    Creation', thes e c o n d f o r'Evil' and thet h i r d f o r'Divinity'. Aperson beginshis life fromthe first 'aett'and graduallygrows on tot h e s e c o n da n d t h i r d ,signifying his

    s p i r i t u a ldevelopment.This journey isa l s o c a l l e d' f u p a r k '(pronounced futhark).

As with every spiritual journey, the first 'aett' begins withthe awakening, the desire to know what lies beyond. Adesire to seek beyond material possessions. Every 'aett' isa journey within a journey, like chapters of a book; and atthe end of each 'aett', although you have completed onechapter or sectionthe book still remains to be

completed. Each new 'aett' marks a beginning and an end,the end of one pattern, but also the beginning of a newhigher understanding. With every positive lesson, as weknow well, comes some form of negativity first. So as yougraduate from one level to another, you will find yourselfmany a time in a fury of emotions, good and bad, sometimes even violent. It must be remembered thatthese are the lessons and until we learn to take controland break out of recurring patterns, the pattern willcontinue to occur, each time with greater intensity, untilwe consciously break out of it. When you complete thelast 'rune' in the third 'aett', it not only completes thesmaller cycle of the third aett, but also brings you back tothe beginning of the entire journey itself. The aett order acts as a metaphor for the spiritual

journey, much like the Major Arcana of the Tarot; theRunes represent a circle, always returning to the journey's beginning, but returning as a different person, from adifferent place. Through each Aett we face challenges and

lessons that assist in our spiritual evolution. Each Aett represents a stage of the hero's journey. The firstAett is the beginning, in which we come to realize we have acalling, the old life has become intolerable or we are forcedto seek change for whatever reason, and so we finally set

    out into the wild.We are preparingfor init iat ion:learning all wec a n ,e n c o u n t e r i n ga l l i e s a n de n e m i e s ,

    experiencing loveand joy in a new way as we walkalong the path. W e b e g i n t o become aware ofo u r p o w e r t oaffect change; wehave our first trueconnection withD e i t y , a n dactually start tolisten.

    The second Aett ist h e i n i t i a t o r y experience itself.O f t e n d e e ptransformation is

brought on by hardship or loss, and the Aett begins withHagalaz, Hail, and destruction. We can see this as a tragedyor an opportunity, but the greatest challenge is yet to come:death and rebirth, a necessary part of any true initiation. In the third Aett we must learn to apply what we havelearned to our daily lives and our interactions with others. We see from the beginning that we have come through abattle wounded but stronger for it, and now face a new

beginning and a new relationship with humanity as a wholeand with ourselves. Finally we return ostensibly to wherewe started, to home life and family, but we have changed atour core, so nothing can ever be quite like it was. Then theentire spiral turns around again, and eventually we leavehome again, to face a new adventure back at the beginningof the first Aett. This journey thus enriches you with the spirit energies andhelps you to achieve higher spiritual goals staying in thematerial physical world. Such is the wonder of the RunicJourney.

I was keen to meet Peter Owen-Jones, the BBCtelevision presenting Priest from East Sussex (UK).He's the well know face of the BBC televisiondocumentaries - Around the World in 80 Faiths, Howto Live a Simple Life, Taking Advice from St Francis

of Assisi, The Lost Gospel and The Extreme Pilgrim. These programmes had quite an impact on me, apartfrom their informative nature, of questioning whatwas my own faith? Did I even had any? Who I was andwhat I was offering the world?

I listened to him reading extracts andanswering questions from his book, Letters from anExtreme Pilgrim, Reflections on Life, Love and theSoul. In this he describes living an austere life as aChinese Buddhist monk, a Christian monk and anIndian ascetic. Peter spoke from the heart in apassionate and honest way. He provoked mythoughts, questioned my idea of faith and intriguedme to where this 'spiritual adventurer' would cast hisweathered hat next.

Before we settled into the interview Peter had a littlePriestly duty to do. The parents of a young childwanted him blessed so Peter obliged and I, along withthe parents, placed gentle, reassuring hands onto theyoung boy while Peter spoke the blessing. It was alittle magical moment. The interview took placewithin a rustic farm shed building.

connection helps people to survive and thrive?Peter - I would personally say that spiritual comfort isa state of mind. It is not about physical things, it isabout where you are mentally. You can be in a crowd,on a train in India or stuck in a cave somewhere. It's whether YOU are comfortable, not whether IT is

comfortable. If YOU are comfortable then YOU WILLBE comfortable there. Having a faith in some wayscan be a great defence against the realities of theworld. That is when I think faith is at its' worst, whenyou are invited into a box, to adhere to certain rules sothat you don't have to actually recognise yourfragility, your own beauty. All you have to do is acceptthese rules and you will be saved. That I don't think isfaith, I think it is prison. Faith which I think helpspeople survive is the faith of Love. It is the only faiththat will help anyone survive in any adversity. If youhave love in the face of adversity then that will help

you survive.Linzi - Yes, a very powerful message.

Linzi - Is there an ideal spiritual life? After some moments of thoughtful pause, Peteranswered.

Peter - I think a spiritual life is allowing oneself theprocess of becoming more and more vulnerable. Notto see the mask of strength that's ever going to rescueus from any situation. To be able to take that mask offand be vulnerable, sensitive, feeling human beings,

that all of us are. Most of us choose to hid behindmasks of strength, me included. In that sense if areligion is offering that path, if a religion is promisingto make you stronger then I would not touch it with a'bargepole' (meaning = keeping it at a very longdistance away). If it promises to make you morevulnerable, more fragile, to make you more aware, toopen you - that's always painful. Then I might have alook at that one (religion).

Linzi - Thank you Peter, I appreciate your time. Ibelieve you are off again filming, flying off this very

afternoon, we look forward to that programme.Note: The programme in question was the NationalGeographic TV channel, series When Rome Ruled, programme The Holy Spear first aired 12 Dec 2010http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/series/when-rome-ruled/all/Overview#tab-the-holy-spear
