Spirit Airlines Baggage Policy

As per Spirit Airlines Baggage Policy, You can carry one personal item as carry-on baggage (with fee) and two checked baggage (for free) within 40 pounds. The airline will charge you an additional fee if you wish to carry more luggage with you, the baggage fee depends on the route and the class of service of the passenger.

The Carry-On Baggage

Carry-on Baggage should not be exceeding the dimension (56 cm x 46 cm x 25 cm), and the luggage must be fit under the seat or in the overhead bin. In the aircraft cabin, you can carry pet carrier, camera, laptop, infant bag, umbrella, etc for all these items you do not need to pay extra to the airline as all the above items are not recognized as carry-on baggage. Always keep this in mind that all the baggage allowances are non-refundable charges, for saving more you need to pre-book your baggage.

The Checked Baggage

Your checked bag can weigh close to 40 pounds and can't surpass 62 linear inches total (length + width + height). Larger than usual and overweight bags will bring about an additional charge of $30 or more, and Spirit won't permit any bags that are heavier than 100 pounds or bigger than 80 linear inches total.

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE FEES The airline charge a minimal fee for carry-on baggage, if you book your luggage at the airport you need to pay $55, at the check-in gate $65, but if you buy the carry-on bag while booking you need to pay $35.

CHECKED BAGGAGE FEES

The airline charges $40 if you book checked baggage at the time of online check-in, you need to pay $50 for each bag if you charge at the airport ticket counter. Always for saving bucks purchase luggage at the time of booking, you just require to pay $30 for each bag.

Spirit Airlines Baggage Size

Spirit Airline fixed the size of each baggage, for the carry-on bag it should not be exceeding the dimension of 56 cm x 46 cm x 25 cm and for checked baggage is 157 cm or 62 inches in total. The spirit airlines checked baggage weight must be within 18 kg for each bag.
