MOMENTS AT MARATHON

Laurie Chappel came to Marathon Farm as a boy

and returned from the Second World War as a

man. Moments at Marathon is his story, as told by

his daughter, Lyn Bodycoat. Laurie was 97 when

this book went to print. His story captures the era

of pioneer farming in Western Australia during the

1930s. Moments at Marathon is Lyn's second

book. Family, within a historical context, is the

central focus of her writing. Join Lyn, and her pub-

lisher, Helen Iles for a talk about the process of

writing and publishing family stories.
