ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

THE SONG OF THE SEED
Written by Sr Macrina Wiederkehr
Life unfolds
A petal at a time, slowly.
The beauty of the process is crippled when I try to hurry growth.
Life has its inner rhythm which must be respected.
It cannot be rushed or hurried.
Like daylight stepping out of darkness,
like morning creeping out of night,
Life unfolds slowly a petal at a time,
like a flower opening to the sun, slowly.
God’s call unfolds
A word at a time, slowly.
A disciple is not made in a hurry.
Slowly I become like the One to whom I am listening.
Life unfolds a petal at a time,
like you and I becoming followers of Jesus,
discipled into a new way of living deeply and slowly.
Be patient with life’s unfolding petals.
If you hurry the bud, it withers.
If you hurry life, it limps.
Each unfolding is a teaching,
a movement of grace filled with silent pauses,
breathtaking beauty tears and heartaches.
Life unfolds a petal at a time deeply and slowly.
May it come to pass!
AMEN

THE CIRCLE OF MERCY
Written by Richard S. Zazycki, performed by the St Patrick’s College Choir
and accompanied by Ms Elisabeth Gordon on piano
In Mercy, we touch the hearts of those who are in misery.
In Mercy, we’re touched by them and feel their strength and courage.
In Mercy, we heal the pain of those who are in sorrow.
In Mercy, we’re healed by them and see the face of hope.
REFRAIN
For the circle of Mercy is timeless
it is spirit of Life itself,
which grounds us in faith
and lifts us in hope,
and holds us in God’s loving care,
and holds us in God’s loving care.
In Mercy, we welcome those the world has left rejected.
In Mercy, we’re drawn within the loving heart of God.
In Mercy, we forgive the incompleteness in another.
In Mercy, our sins are healed and we are whole again.
REFRAIN
In Mercy, the Spirit-Faith will ground us in God’s presence.
In Mercy, the Spirit-Hope will lift us out of doubt.
In Mercy, the love of God will be our joy in living.
In Mercy, we join with one another on our journey.

Sr Marie Leonie Williams, RSM. Used with Permission
Led by the St Patrick’s College Choir
Where there are seagulls crying,
Where there are blue waves flying,
You’ll find a spot that’s endeared to me.
With joy our voices singing,
With love our hearts are winging
True to St Patrick’s, St Patrick’s by the sea.
REFRAIN
Fair by the sea it stands,
Fair by the shining sea,
Symbol of truth and of boundless charity.
Gold we shall never cherish, Honour ‘twill never perish,
While we’re still faithful to St Patrick’s by the sea.
Though we are young in years,
Not knowing doubt or fears,
Loyal to our heritage we ever shall be.
Proud of our Alma Mater,
Our love we’ll never barter,
True to St Patrick’s, St Patrick’s by the sea.
REFRAIN
Through life these treasures prize,
Where’er our pathway lies,
Virtues of faith, hope, love and purity.
Mother of Mercy guiding.
In God our trust abiding,
True to St Patrick’s, St Patrick’s by the sea.
