Current state of design.

Priority list:

1 Evaluate stability on slope test- Possible to fit 2 Maxi Cosi’s on compacy chassis and pass slope test?- Optimize positions of two seats and cots

2 Create final chassis frame design based on slope test feedback- Design and Looks in collaboration with MD (frame curvature)- Optimize geometry for ease of production

3 Optimize parts for AOK production and assembly- Minimize difficulty of assembly- Reduce cost of parts- Engineering for product durability

Unfolded state - dimensions

• See specifications in picture below. And:• Telescopic pushbar frame must keep curved shape, but bending radius can be increased• Weight max 10kg (chassis, solo seat frame + fabric, small shopping bag)• Keep frame tube sizes and overall geometry• Main seat position may not move more than 50mm compared to P3

Page 4: Specifications for JOOLZ 409- based on the current prototype (as taken by AOK)

Folded state:

• Allow for stable, vertical storage (selfstanding)

• Must have lock on folded state to allow for singlehanded carrying

• Chassis can fold flat with two seats installed

• Chassis can fold flat with main seat and shopping basket installed

• Chassis can fold with both brake engaged and disengaged (no pedal interference)

Front wheel suspension

• Suspension may not act when loaded statically with 2 x 13kg, should act only when hitting bumps.

• Construction should still allow wheels to be rotated upwards for compact storage.

• Increase mudguard-tire clearance to min. 6mm.

• Front wheels must have swivel lock for forward position, to be operated by hand

• Front part should still have handle for easy lifting (up/down stairs)

UP

DOWN

Folding lock

• Main lock: redesign to comply with EN1888 (2 hooks and 2 pins; currently 1 hook 1 pin)• Operating levers: need to check EN1888-compliancy • Change second lock lever design to act as lock for folded state

Seats - design

• Main seat: child of 3yo P80 must fit (include sizes of child!)• Main seat must have feet support adjustment (min. two positions, lowest min. 26cm, highest max 20cm). Low

cost, low weight mechanism.

• Second seat: child of 3yo P80 must fit (include sizes of child!)

Current seat design Suggested seat design with adjustable feet support

Seats - design

Distance between seats/ergonomics:• Distance backsupport-to-backsupport min. 35cm• Distance zitvlaklijn-zitvlaklijn min. 37cm

• Twin seat configuration must allow main seat to be used in upright (forward-facing) position without interference with lower child’s feet.

• Lower child knee angle min. Max.

• Bottuck support depth min 20cm width min 32cm, slope up 10 degrees for main seat (upright position)

• Top seat must allow for using a canopy

Seats – use

Both seats:• Easy to install, remove and carry

• Main seat can be used in three positions: upright, slight recline, full recline

Lower seat: • Can be installed standing behind the

chassis and should snap in place (not require additional user input) engaging at least two seperate, automatic locking devices.

Cots - design

• Both cots identical internal length: min 76cm max 80cm• Both cots use same matress and fabric• Both cots must feature carrying handle(s)• Both cots must have similar design/styling• Both cots should be collapsable to max 10cm height• Top cot must have canopy mounting

• Both cots: Easy to install, remove and carry• There must be an opening of min. 25cm between both

installed cots (to allow instant removal of lower baby) • Lower cot can be installed standing behind the chassis and

should snap in place (not require additional user input) engaging at least two seperate, automatic locking devices.

• Both cots must be level, maximum +5 degrees upwards (at side where baby’s head is)

The following accessoiries need to be developped:

• MC adapters for upper and lower installation• Rain cover• Nursery bag

Shopping baskets:• Solo use = second seat without seat insert• Seperate shopping basket for duo use: in front of

second seat. Still needs to be designed

Packaging

• Should be packed in boxes made of recycled paper.• Boxes should combine to fit standard Europalet (120 x 80cm) efficiently
