Species of Mithbar – Titans

CyclopesAlso Known As: Evil EyesAppearance: With a huge eye in the middle of their

forehead and fangs coming out of their mouth, Cyclopes arenot a pretty sight. Towering over all other races they have ahard time finding enough skins to wear. They are rather hairy

and the males have black beards.Architecture:Arts & Entertainment:Calendar:Crime & Legal SystemDaily Life: Savage, brutal and merciless. All Cyclopes

care about is smashing others under gigantic boulders or stomping them to a pulp. Rather competitive, every Cyclopsthinks he/she is the strongest of the bunch and they will doeverything to prove it.

Diet & Eating Customs:Fashion & Dress:Foreign Relations: The only contact Cyclopes have

with the other races is fighting and feeding. They lovehumanoid flesh and usually go on raids, assaulting Eruhimsettlements in hope for a quick meal, even though they end uppaying dearly for it. They hate Giants and attack them on sight.

Favored Classes:Government: Ruled by a King they constantly try to

overthrow, might is the only virtue they understand. Not reallysly or subtle, the King can be challenged many times during amonth and usually is their champion, as survival in combat is aperquisite for the job.

Magic & TechnologyMedicine

Philosophy:Population: Living a short, brutal life, Cyclopes can

reach the age of 80. As they grow old, their hair and beardsturn white. Their physical strength diminishes but they getmore cunning and some say they gain insight on their time of death, though never proven.

DendroidsAlso Known As: Bushbeards, LeafheadsAppearance: Separated in two groups, one noble, the

other savage, all Dendroids have in common the great heightand the treelike appearance. With skin like tree bark, no neck, deep brown eyes and long branch like limbs, when they stand

still they look like trees.Architecture: Not in real need for a dwelling,

Dendroids just pick a spot next to a stream, spring or other source of water. Usually these watering holes of the Dendroidsare deep in the woods where most don't dare go. Some say thewaters in such places are extremely potent.

Arts & Entertainment:Calendar:Crime & Legal SystemDaily Life: Slow to anger but unstoppable once they

decide to move, Dendroids are a force to be reckoned. Usuallysuspicious of outsiders, they don't make friends easily. Theyenjoy living deep in the forest and sometimes they spend daysstanding still.

Diet & Eating Customs:Fashion & Dress:Foreign Relations: Solitary by nature and habit, more

than three Dendroids can rarely be seen together, unless acrisis is at hand. Staying out of cities they care only for thetrees and usually enjoy the company of Dryads as they are theonly ones with such a connection to the forests.

Favored Classes:Government: The Titans of the forest have no

hierarchy except what Nature dictates. Every single one of them, from the most timid to the most savage will do whatever

needed for Nature's sake, especially if asked so by the Keeper or the Guardian. When they bother with formalities at all, thenewest members speak first.

Magic & TechnologyMedicinePhilosophy: Almost exclusively without order or in

Nature aligned ones, some Dendroids have been seen in Life or Chaos ones as their teachings often strike the right chord intheir hearts. Might or Order aligned orders are lucky to seemore than a couple of Dendroids in their ranks.

Population: Able to reach the age of 5000 years, theyoutlive most races. As they grow older, they look more andmore like trees Their bodies become less flexible and their overall looks rough up. Hair turns brown and their eyes gain astrange glow.

GiantsAlso Known As:Appearance: Male Giants are of massive built and like

Dwarves, grow long braided beards. Giantesses are slim withlong hair. Their skin is a tad darker than that of Humans buttheir hair can be of any color, usually depending on the area.

Architecture:Arts & Entertainment:Calendar:Crime & Legal SystemDaily Life: Like Humans, Giants can be anything.

Grim or frivolous, grumpy or easy going, good natured or malevolent. One thing common in all Giants is their somewhatshort temper and sense of duty to their kin. Like mostDwarves, they value honor.

Diet & Eating Customs:Fashion & Dress: Usually clad in armor, they favor

horned helmets.Foreign Relations: Living in small societies of 10 to 15

individuals, Giants don't like the company of others. However, they are not hostile to all outsiders and will not attack anybodywithout a reason. They hate Cyclopes and won't think twicebefore attacking one.

Favored Classes:Government: Giants employ a hierarchy model based

on both Human and Dwarven ones, while more “democratic”than that of the Mountain Kings, only males are allowed tohave a seat of power in the open. That said, the females aremore often than not the ones pulling the strings.

Magic & TechnologyMedicine

Philosophy:Population: Living to the age of 100, Giants have a

pretty normal lifespan and aging process. As they get older, their hair turn white and they get weaker. Elder Giants areexpected to guide the young ones through life and offer their advice when needed.

YetisAlso Known As: SnowmenAppearance: As big as any Titan, Yeti are covered in

thick long white fur and have red eyes. With clawed fingersand toes, and arms that easily touch the ground when theystand, they look more like apes than Titans. Even though most

of them don't wear clothes or armor, the concept is not totallylost to them.

Architecture:Arts & Entertainment:Calendar:Crime & Legal SystemDaily Life: When they are young, Yeti are the perfect

example of “peaceful giant” but with age they get more feraland dangerous. Even so, they tend to be loyal to those that earntheir trust and vicious with those that earn their hate. Yeti areusually considered good company and when young, like tosocialize.

Diet & Eating Customs:Fashion & Dress:Foreign Relations: How friendly and open to strangers

Yeti are, depends greatly on their age, the older the morewithdrawn and volatile they get. Young Yeti can be found insmall groups, be it of Yeti or mixed races and in the latter, theyare usually the muscle of the group.

Favored Classes:Government: High-what? sorry but that is not part of a

Yeti's vocabulary. They fail to see why any form of hierarchyis needed but usually leave thinking and taking decisions toothers, if for no other reason than they get to have more timefor more important and fun things themselves.

Magic & TechnologyMedicinePhilosophy:Population: Able to live up to 300, Yeti get more

fuzzier as they age. They get more feral and animal-like as theyget older and during their last decade they are able to grasponly simple concepts like “eat”, “sleep” or “kill”. On someoccasions the elders are so much different from younger Yetithat some believe they are another sub-race.

ZeleathAlso Known As: Fire GiantsAppearance: Thick skinned and bald, at least the

males, with black eyes. Zeleath have clawed hands and pointyears. They have strange markings on their backs that burst inflames when enraged, making the charging Zeleath even more

intimidating. A bit smaller than the rest of their Race.Architecture:Arts & Entertainment:Calendar:Crime & Legal SystemDaily Life: Almost as fiery and chaotic as the fire

burning in them. Easy to show emotion and easier to getconsumed by it. Given their size and physical strength, they arenot a sub-race people want to anger, even though its easy to doso. A good trait of their character is that they are quite open toothers.

Diet & Eating Customs:Fashion & Dress:Foreign Relations: Surprisingly social but not among

themselves. Zeleath can be found in small groups of mixedRaces but will only seek another of their kind to mate. As theyage, they tend to withdraw and some become hermits. Whenthat happens, others leave them alone ...its safer.

Favored Classes:Government: Since they live rather solitary lives, at

least as far as their sub-race is concerned, no hierarchy exists. When in a group, they follow the leader unless its someonewho angers them often, then they tend to take over. Whenalone, they follow whatever hierarchy is around, or move on.

Magic & Technology

MedicinePhilosophy:Population: Able to reach the age of 500, Zeleath

consider themselves lucky if they die before reaching 450, astheir body weakens to the point of making them useless. Theolder they get the more dangerous the flames get when theyanger and finally, during the last few decades of their lives, they can easily consume them whole.
