If you are a specialist - you will certainly have come across or heard of

Century NG carp rod. The design has a heritage based on many years of

success and in the current guise Century NG+ incorporates many small

improvements which add up to probably one of the best all round carp rods

ever made.

The Century NG+is tted with the SB20 engraved, part stainless custom

reel seat and features woven 2k-2k carbon below the seat and 1k-1k

above the seat up to the rst ring on the tip. The surface nish is matt

and sealed with PTFE/Silicone. All rods are supplied with size 40 ringing

con gurations unless size 50 is speci ed. Size 50 is standard on SU

models. Also featured is stainless steel ball butt stop.

The Fat Boy Slim (FBS) is Centurys ultra low diameter rod with a glorious

sweeping parabolic curve that will tame and control. The design is incredibly

complex to give the pro le, action and weight that will appeal to the carp

angler who does not need extreme range but wants the response and control

element of his shing totally sorted. The FBS has already seen extensive

action and has hundreds of trophy sh to its credit.

The over riding reports coming back from anglers is the shing range of

140 metres on the higher test curve (3.50lb) is more than adequate and

the action makes playing perfect. The lower test curves are ideally

suited to smaller venues where casts of 100m are typical.

The ADV 1 (Advanced One) is classi ed as a multi range rod: it bridges the

gap between a rod like the NG+ with its remarkable playing action and the

power of the long range rods like FMA and SP+. The ADV 1 carp rod is

a well-proven tool with a ne pedigree. The design concepts have been

CTX Carp Rods The new CTX range of carp rods cover every possibility from small water

with the 2 1/2s to extreme range with the S.U. models. Each rod undergoes

a complex manufacturing process integrating 40t and 30t carbons with resin

content below 25%. Wrapping alternately at 90 degrees and zero degrees for

added strength, then further wrapping with 3mm bi-axis carbon tape at 45

degrees produces extremely strong yet ultra-light and slim blanks.

In addition to a much improved power to weight ratio of a blank at this price,

a further advantage of this multi-layer structure is the accuracy of casting

as the blank is less prone to twisting and the effect of bias. We are known

for our distance casting rods and have proven during testing that the blank

construction has produced rods with extreme casting abilities and great

recovery. Cosmetically the X-Tape runs the length of the blank and gives it a

very attractive and distinctive Perdurable nish.
