including rainy days, chilly nights and the propensity for irritating beauty issues. The primary beauty concern for most people each winter is dryness. Winter is the season for dry skin and chapped lips because lower temperatures and lower humidity result in drier air, both indoors and outside. in addition to staying hydrated and moisturizing, here are 6 tips that will benefit you and your skin all season long.

adding moisture to your environment is one of the single best ways to combat winter skin and hair issues. This means purchasing a humidifier that will add moisture to the air. even boiling water on the stove and allowing the steam to dissipate into the air can alleviate a dry home.

Choose non-foaming cleansers for the face and body when washing up. This way the soapy layer doesn’t strip away essential moisture from the lipid barrier of the skin.

Very hot showers may chase away the chill from outdoors, but they can strip the skin and hair of moisture as well. Try showering in lukewarm water instead, and slather on a moisturizing body lotion right afterward.

Licking dry lips just exacerbates the situation. instead, use a moisturizing lip balm sparingly. even rubbing a little olive oil over the lips can help moisturize and prevent cracking.

Drink plenty of water. Dehydration can increase the risk of injury with regards to the skin, making it more susceptible to dryness and other issues.

Continue to apply an sPF product every day before heading outdoors. ultraviolet rays are still present during the winter, albeit in less concentration.

16 HOw TO gET fuller hair THIS SEASON

MaNY MeN aND WoMeN want to improve the look of their hair, as it is one of the most visible aspects of our

appearance. But solutions that may have worked in one season may not work in another.

When cooler, crisper weather arrives, humidity levels wane making hair appear flat and lifeless. People tend to spend more time indoors with the heat turned on. Dry air can cause static electricity and flyaway hair. Fortunately, there are a number of solutions to flat hair, each of which can improve fullness and body.

Find the right volumizing shampoo for your hair. Many volumizing shampoos work by thoroughly cleansing to remove any product residue or excess oil that can weigh down hair. in the process, some may actually dry out hair. Test different brands to find one that cleans but does not strip hair.

gathering and twisting wet hair in a towel turban may seem harmless, but it’s a recipe for damage and breakage. Wet hair is more delicate than dry hair, making it stretch or break more easily. gently squeeze hair dry with the towel and then use a detangling spray to help comb out knots.

Hat head - when damp hair is allowed to dry under a hat, causing flattening and denting - is almost as dreaded as a bad hair day brought on by dry winter air. allow hair to dry completely before donning a hat. and consider parting your hair the opposite way before putting on the hat, so when you remove it, your hair has volume and falls naturally back in place.

Consider colouring your hair. Permanent colour dyes expand the cuticle layer in order to deposit colour into the shaft. This can result in hair that feels thicker or moves differently after the colouring process. Be sure to follow the recommended time between colouring treatments.
