July 2015
By Emily McStravick and Liam Pearson
By Grace Robson and Connor Bray
On Tuesday 16th June, Class Four went to
Sandhaven beach to learn about water safety.
Alex from the RNLI had a few good things to say
about the class. “I really enjoyed teaching the
class because they showed a great attitude and
were extremely brave!” declared Alex, who is
part of the RNLI, proudly.
Mr Richardson, who is the Class Four teacher,
enjoyed the trip, but failed miserably at
surfing! Class Four loved the trip and came
back with super surfing skills.
On Wednesday 17th June, the
chosen gymnasts of Class Three and
Class Four went to an amazing
gymnastics competition. Some of
the activities that the children took
part in were trampoline jumps, a
tumble run, jumping in the pit, a
colouring competition and balancing
on a beam. The Class Four team
came second and Grace Robson came
first in the open category.
The amazing gymnast
Kimberley declared, “I feel
very proud of how fantastic all
the children were at the
competition because they did
their routines brilliantly!’’
The event happened at the
ageing Temple Park Leisure
Centre. At the competition,
which was awesome, Class
Three came third.
