Dayton Audio DSS Series Cabinet Cone Spike Sets

Rigidly coupling a loudspeaker enclosure to a fl oor by means of a “spiking” system dramatically improves clarity, stereo imaging, and bass response. This is especially apparent with subwoofer systems. These attractive spikes are precision machined from solid brass and then plated with a durable fi nish. The two-piece threaded tip design on the larger DSS5 and DSS6 versions allows for precise level adjustment. Barbed insert nuts and 6 mm threaded studs are included for mounting in cabinets with walls up to 1" thick. Set includes four cone spikes, four fl oor discs, four barbed insert nuts, and four threaded studs. Finishes: black chrome, gold, and satin nickel.

Dayton Audio 2-way cross overs were designed using a second order (12 dB) Linkwitz-Riley alignment. Metallized polypro pylene capacitors are used in both the high and low pass sections. 18 gauge inductors were used to keep DC resistance to a minimum. A unique design feature of the low pass section allows use of 4 or 8 ohm woofers, perfect for building D’Appolito style or multi-woofer 2-way systems. The high pass crossover frequency is rated for an 8 ohm load. All components are glued or fastened down to eliminate buzzing and vibrations. The high quality blue PC board uses a back plate for added rigidity and eyelet holes for easy mounting. Available in a variety of crossover points. 300W power handling.
