He served as the 2011-2012 President of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), the leading association of in vitro fertilization-specialized physicians. As Chair of SART’s Practice Committee from 2004 to 2009, he developed many of the guide- lines that most physicians use to practice infertility. He is a member or fellow of numerous medical associations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Schat- tman is an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Reproductive Medicine at The Ronald O. JUDITH DAAR, JDClinical Professor, the University of California Irvine, School of Medicine

Medical Ethics Committee Member, UCI Medical Center

Judith Daar is the Interim Dean and Professor of Law at Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California. She also holds appointment as a Clinical Professor at the University of California Irvine, School of Medicine. In November 2014, Dean Daar was appointed Chair of the Ethics Committee of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, where she has served as a member since 2008. Since 2002, Dean Daar has been a member of Medical Ethics Committee at UCI Medical Center. She was elected president of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics from 2009-11, where she also sat on the Board of Directors from 2006-2012. She is currently the co-chair of the ABA Section on Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, Bioethics Committee. In 2012, Dean Daar was elected to the American Law Institute.

Dean Daar’s law school teaching includes courses in Property, Wills & Trusts, Bio-

ethics, and Reproductive Technologies and the Law. In 2006, Dean Daar published the first and to date only casebook in the field of assisted reproductive technologies, Reproductive Technologies and the Law (LexisNexis 2006). A second edition of the book was published in 2013. Her latest book, The New Eugenics: Selective Breeding in an Era of Reproductive Technologies, was published in early 2017 by Yale Universi-ty Press.

Dean Daar has spoken extensively on legal, medical and ethical issues in reproductive medicine, including giving testimony to the National Academies of Science and the California legislature. Her scholarly work includes over 100 book chapters, articles, white papers and editorials on a range of topics including prenatal genetic testing, human reproductive cloning, regulation of reproductive technologies and malfea-

sance in the provision of assisted conception services. She is the recipient of three outstanding teaching awards, including the Jay Healey Distinguished Health Law Teacher of the Year awarded in 2015. In October 2013, she was awarded the Suheil J. Muasher, M.D. Distinguished Service Award by the American Society for Reproduc-

tive Medicine. Dean Daar has taught as a visiting professor at UCLA School of Law, UCI School of Law, Loyola Law School and the University of Houston Law Center.

Dr. Ball was degreed in Reproductive Physiology through Animal Science programs in Georgia and Missouri and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Wisconsin. He began his human IVF career at Mayo Clinic in 1983.

David has been certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director for 20 years and is currently the on-site Lab Director at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. He also serves as off-site lab director for programs in Spokane Washington, Minnesota (2 labs) and Pennsylvania (1 lab).

David has delivered more than 90 invited presentations on topics relevant to human IVF, delivered over 100 scientific presentations and has coauthored more than 40 peer reviewed publications.

David currently serves as liaison for The Society of Reproductive Technologies (SART) to The College of American Pathologists succeeding past duties as Public Affairs Representative for SART, President of SART, and Chair of the SART Valida-

tion Committee as well as having been a member of the SART and ASRM executive councils.

In his leisure time, David enjoys working with rescued Doberman Pinschers and riding motorcycles – particularly exotic Italian models!

Dr. Marc Fritz of UNC Fertility is the Charles Hendricks Distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the UNC School of Medicine. He is the coauthor of Clinical Gyneco-

logic Endocrinology and Infertility — the world’s most widely read textbook on the subspecialty. He is a past president of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and member of the Board of Directors for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Fritz is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and Tulane Univer-sity Medical School. He completed his fellowship at the Oregon Health Sciences University.

KRISTEN IVANI, PHD, HCLDLab Director, RSC Bay

Dr. Kristen Ivani has served as the laboratory director at Reproductive Sci-ence Center of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989. She is a board-certified High-Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director in the disciplines of embryology and andrology and an inspector for the College of American Pathologists Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program.

Dr. Ivani is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the International Embryo Transfer Society, the American Association of Bioanalysts and several scientific honor societies. Her areas of interest include embryo cryo-

preservation, in vitro fertilization, gamete micromanipulation, patient education, and PGD.

Dr. Gerard Letterie is a partner in the practice Seattle Reproductive Medicine, Seattle Washington. He is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist and fellow in the American College of obstetricians and gynecologists and the Ameri-can College of physicians. He completed his training in obstetrics and gynecology at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC and a fellowship in REI at the National Institutes of Health. He serves on various educational committees within his sub-

specialty and specialty of obstetrics and gynecology including a position as an oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and as associate director of the REI fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is an ad hoc reviewer for several medical and scientific journals including Fertility and Sterili-ty, Clinical Genetics and RBO among other journals. He is the author of over 125 publications in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, chapters, invited reviews and monographs and several editorials, Op Ed’s and short stories in lay publications.

His interests include risk management and medical liability and computers in clini-cal care and image analysis. Outside of his specialty, he enjoys rowing and sculling and can usually be found on the water at 5 AM daily but most enjoyable is his time with his family: his wife Jan Chow and their two daughters.

Dr. Lin currently is in a private practice at Seattle Reproductive Medicine. He has many responsibilities in the practice but serves at Seattle Reproductive Medicine as the Medical Director of the Seattle Reproductive Surgery Center (where egg retriev-

als and hysteroscopies are performed) and the Clinical Operations Physician Liaison for the practice. He has worked with Integramed since 2004 when SRM was origi-nally started and has been through the typical “ups and down” of a rapidly growing practice from its original 4 University of Washington physicians to its current size of 11 physicians, 3 Urologists specializing in fertility and 4 nurse practitioners. He grew up in Buffalo (a lifelong Bills fan), graduate from Columbia University and Albany Medical College. He did his residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and REI fellowship at University of Louisville.

In addition to his duties at his practice, Dr Lin is the Chair of the Advertising commit-tee (SART committee that oversees fair representation of practice success) and current member of the SART Executive Council. He is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American Association of Gynecologic Laparos-

copist and Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.

Dr. Lin has a busy practice and is one of the few fertility specialist with both fertility and surgery interests. He has a special love and interest in reproductive surgery.

Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Mersereau attended college at North-

western University, and received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a residency in OB/GYN and earned a master’s in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) at Northwestern. She completed fellowship training in reproductive endo-

crinology and infertility at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Mersereau is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Medical Director at UNC Fertility. She serves on the ASRM and SART Practice Committees, and is an Associated Editor for the journal Human Reproduction.

The author of more than 100 abstracts and papers on fertility and assisted repro-

duction technologies, Dr. Miller is well known for research advances in the field of blastocyst culture, pre-implantation genetics and embryo morphometric as well as a leading expert in laboratory management, quality improvement programs, and single embryo transfer. Dr. Miller is currently the Scientific Director at IVF Florida and several other prestigious North American programs. She is certified in the disciplines of embryology and andrology by the American Board of Bioanalysis and as a Scientific Director by the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society. A former president of the College of Reproductive Biology, of the American Association of Bioanalysis (AAB), she is still an active member and serves on many committees of ASRM, ESHRE, and AAB.

Dr. Miller is also the Vice President of MedTech For Solutions, a healthcare man-

agement services company that specializes in the fertility industry. She leads the company’s laboratory services division that specializes in assisted reproduction technologies and laboratory design. Since 2009, she has been one of leading professionals designing and constructing state-of-the art IVF laboratories in North America. EVAN ROSENBLUTH, MDReproductive Endocrinologist, RSC Bay

Dr. Rosenbluth is a board eligible Reproductive Endocrinologist who completed his training at Tulane University. He has done extensive research studying genes that affect endometrial gland formation as well as non-invasive methods for determining embryo implantation potential for which he presented internationally. He serves as a member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. His areas of interest are minimally invasive surgery (in-

cluding robotics), eSET, fertility treatment for people with disabilities, and develop-

ing biopsy-free methods for selecting healthy embryos.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Rosenbluth traveled around the world as a photo journalist and spent several years teaching people with spinal cord injuries how to ski. To this day he loves traveling, photography, and playing outside with his family. He feels so lucky to get to work each day, to be surrounded by amazing patients and coworkers who all work together utilizing cutting edge technology to help achieve one of life’s greatest joys.

Dr. Cristin C. Slater is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in 3 years from the University of Utah, majoring in health sciences while minoring in both chemistry and philosophy. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah in 1993. She completed her specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Subsequently, she completed her sub-specialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Slater practiced as an assistant professor in the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for 3 years at the University of Southern California, where she taught medical students and repro-

ductive endocrinology fellows.

Dr. Slater is well trained in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and microscopic surgery as well as with advanced reproductive technologies and hormone management. She has written 3 chapters in medical text books and published many articles in presti-gious medical journals. She is active in various regional and national medical soci-eties where she has presented her research. Locally, Dr. Slater continues to teach medical students and residents, as well as continuing to lecture for local physicians on topics in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is also the 2018 President Elect of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS).

Personally, Dr. Slater is married and is the mother of twin boys. She enjoys the many various outdoor recreational activities that Boise has to offer.

DEBORAH WACHS, MDReproductive Endocrinologist, RSC Bay

Deborah Wachs, MD is a partner at the Reproductive Science Center of the Bay Area and is the managing physician of their San Jose office. She participates in all aspects of patient care and is currently the Medical Director of Third Party cycles. Dr. Wachs is originally from the east coast and firmly believes that “you can take the girl out of Jersey but you can’t take the Jersey out of the girl.” She attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her undergraduate studies and was actual-ly an accounting major. After working as a CPA in Washington, DC for 3 years, Dr. Wachs realized that she had made a grave mistake. She then swiftly completed her post-baccalaureate studies and attended Georgetown University School of Medi-cine. During her Ob/Gyn residency at Kaiser San Francisco, Dr. Wachs discovered her interest in Reproductive Endocrinology and completed her REI fellowship at UC-San Diego. She moved to the Bay Area in 2008 to join RSC.

Dr. Wachs loves living in the Bay Area with her husband and adorable 5 year old son.

Chris is IntegraMed Fertility’s Chief Executive Officer, responsible for overseeing all strategic, business, and operational aspects of the largest network of fertility practices across North America. Chris leads a team of dedicated executives and physician partners to foster operational excellence in patient care for new and exist-ing practices within the IntegraMed network.

Chris brings many years of healthcare experience to his role as CEO. Prior to joining IntegraMed, he served as the Group President and Chief Operating Officer of Surgery Partners LLC. While there, he had significant operational and strategic responsibilities, holding lead responsibility for Surgery Partners ASC operations. From 1998-2007 he worked at HealthSouth Corporation in various operational roles, becoming Senior Vice President of Operations for the Outpatient Division. After successfully assisting in the sale of the Outpatient Division to Select Medical Corpo-

ration in May 2007, he served as Division President of the West Region overseeing 350+ locations. Beginning in 2009, he served as Divisional President of the Network Division at Select Medical. During his tenure, he developed and grew a new Work-

er’s Compensation Specialty Network Product, enabling the practice to compete for greater market share in the $80B marketplace.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was a John Motley Morehead Scholar. He earned his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University, graduating with honors. Chris and his family currently reside in Westchester County, NY. A father of five children, his interests include spending time with family, golf, tennis, reading and music.
