Central Pacific College

We’re here to help.

You can speak English.

You’ll meet — and speak English with — people from all over the world.

At Central Pacific College, we have a single goal: make it easy for you to speak English. From our teaching methods to our welcoming environment, everything we do is specifically designed to help you not only gain an understanding of the English language, but give you the ability to use it confidently to reach your goals.

Here, there are no mistakes. Only practice. You’ll feel free to talk without being afraid of saying the wrong thing, or how it might sound, and you’ll encourage others to do the same. Learning English isn’t always without challenges, but it’s always something we’ll support you with — no matter where you’re starting.

How we make it easy

Speak with confidence.

We believe learning is easier when you’re having fun.

You’ll take part in active, group learning.

We’re Ohana. It’s a Hawaiian term that means family, and it’s how we act at CPC. We’re always here for each other.Small class sizes create a close-knit group. Most class time is spent with students talking. Teachers are there to guide and encourage, not lecture.

Club Keiki for kidsClub Keiki is our seasonal children’s program. It’s available for one week in the spring and for up to six weeks in the summer. Speak with fluency. When you come to CPC, you expect to speak English. We take that very seriously. Our organic method, specially created by CPC, makes that possible. It’s a process that promotes natural language development, and it’s used in all of our learning activities.

The CPC Organic Method works by repeating three simple steps.

THINK Projects and activities are created by CPC to demonstrate specific language structures and skills. When you engage in them, you’ll rely on your individual knowledge to figure out how to complete the task.

DO Building on your existing skills and working in collaboration with group members, you’ll apply what you already know towards completing the development activity.

REFLECT When you’re finished, you’ll take time to consider what you’ve accomplished, recognize what you’ve learned from the project, and find its relevance to your own personal life.

How we make it easy:

CPC is open to students with an F-1 student visa as well as short term visitors.

You can choose from five different programs, depending on your age and level.

You can participate in unique academic workshops and language exchange outside class times.
