WHAT IS Vet+i?
Vet+i - Spanish Technology Platform for Animal Health It was created in 2008 as a mirror group of ETPGAH -
the European Technology Platform for Global Animal Health
Funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and
Competitiveness Vet+i as a strategic tool to deliver the “ State Innovation Strategy”
Vet+i has become the ONLY interdisciplinary forum which gathers all relevant stakeholders interested in animal health, from academia, research, farmers, veterinarians, industries including SMEs, regulators, etc. in Spain

OBJECTIVE
An instrument to improve research, development and innovation in the field of animal health in Spain
Its main goal is to facilitate networking in order to enable the
efficient transfer of research developed in Spain and accelerate the development and delivery of innovative products and technologies for controlling priority animal diseases
Its aim is to contribute to the competitiveness and internationalisation of the animal health companies and the economic sectors that are users of the animal health products

Strategic Research Agenda Recommendations on R&D necessary to achieve the strategic vision of Vet + i It has contributed to the definition of priorities adopted in R&D and innovation in animal health in the short-medium term by funding bodies Identify diseases with the greatest impact in our country and those in each (diagnostic kits, vaccines, medicines, other animal health products - disinfectants, repellents, etc., software, epidemiological networks, etc.) needs, distributing in the three categories of disease (epizootic, zoonotic and production).

The award has been created in the memory of our colleague Ms. Isabel Mínguez Tudela, in order to recognise her work and commitment in DG Research and Innovation and her support in the creation of the ETPGAH and Mirror groups such as Vet + i.

etc., often addressing the conference organized by Vet + i. In the case of the Annual

Survey networking and “public private partnership” through Vet+i activities:
36 responses (research centers and companies associated with Veterindustria)
50% of the respondents resulted in different forms of contact
