Elders Quorum: The 2nd ward Elders Quorum had a great year. One of the highlights was the Father and Sons Activity. The Birch family was great to allow us to use there property up Spanish fork canyon, it had a pavilion, bathrooms, a big play area with a two-story tree house that included bunk beds. The kids were able to have fun doing tractor barrel rides, bear hunts, and racing for candy being shot out of the candy cannon. The brothers in the Elders Quorum were able to have a great fireside and sit for hours getting to know each other. All in all it was a great time.-Kaleb Washburn

Young Men:The highlight of 2011 would have to be the Scout Camp we attended for four days up Spanish Fork canyon. We had an enjoyable time! The boys who attended were Jake Riggs, Bridger Riggs, Sam Bryson, Parker and Tristen Oldroyd and Brody Mayer. Leaders consisted of myself, Rob Carter, Brad Jex, Ren Wightman and Josh Mayer. The boys had a great time target shooting, riding the zip line, hiking, and eating good food. :) We had some excitement when the squirrels invaded the cabin and made a mess...although they liked our cheese puffs! Other highlights were several trips attending the Temple to do baptisms for the dead. We enjoyed watching Mark Heward and Bridger Riggs attend for the first time. Stake Youth conference at Camp Koholowo was also an enjoyable experience. Tristen Oldroyd was the only boy who attended the Temple Faith Walk as there were several boys and leaders out of town. Overall it was an enjoyable year! This year our focus will be to take the boys on more campouts and Temple trips. -Matt Riggs Primary:

In the year 2011 the Spanish Fork 2nd Ward Primary continued to flourish. One of the highlights of the year was the convert baptism of Brooklyn Steele. A beautiful spirit attended her and her sister's baptism and it was a wonderful experience for all who were involved and who attended. Our Primary this year put a focus on strengthening families through the young members in our ward and it was a faith building experience to see a young girl making such an amazing choice. Our Primary also enjoyed many fun activities. The children in our ward and neighborhood were able to participate in the Pioneer Day Children's Parade, riding in a float or riding bikes down center street. We also enjoyed a fun pizza party after a Saturday practice for the Primary program. The program, centered on scripture study, went very well; each child that attended had a speaking part and many participated in smaller group song ensembles. A sweet and innocent spirit touched the hearts of many listening that day. Scouting and Activity Days also continued strong this year and the 8-11 year old boys and girls had many fun and faith promoting experiences. We look forward to growing even more this upcoming year and continuing our work to strengthen each child and his or her family!Pictures included are from the Children's Parade.

Young Women AuxiliarySpanish Fork 2nd Ward, Spanish Fork River Stake, 2011 Activity Highlights: Over the course of several activities our YM and YW were taught by the missionaries a simple discussion on the Ten Commandments. Then they were divided into companionships and went to homes in our ward with small children and taught the discussion. We have attended the temple at least once a month for the entire year. Our focus during the first half of the year was to feel the peace of the temple in our busy lives. In October our focus changed to bringing the peace of the temple home to our families and making our homes more

like temples. It is our goal to get more families regularly attending the temple through the example of their daughters. In August we went to Girls Camp and had the opportunity to bring 3 incoming beehives whose birthdays were between1-4 weeks after camp. In July we had Youth Conference and had 100% of our active girls in attendance. Our YW learned how to do family history work at the family history library. We had 100% of our active Laurels participate in the Stake Faith Walk.

New Baptisms: In August Dairadee Reynolds was baptized. Kandas Woolford (2nd Coun. YWs Pres.) was heavily involved in the discussions. Our YW have been actively involved in the continued outreach for her.
