Alexis Martinez

-Hello, my name is Alexis Martínez and I’m 15 years old. I live in Martorell, a town near Barcelona. I play handball. I like doing sport and listening to any kind of music and playing videogames. I also like hanging out with my friends, going to the beach or swimming pool in summer with them, visiting Barcelona, etc.  I love travelling to other countries so I think that this trip is going to be a nice experience.

Sofia Victoria.

Hey, I’m Sofia Victoria, and I’m 15. I also live in Martorell, and I think that it’s a fantastic place to live in. My main hobbies are: writing (I’d like to study journalism), reading fantasy books, dancing hip-hop (I started to dance when I was 4), listening to rock music (my favourite bands are: Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, McFly and Blink-182), playing videogames, photography, fashion and styling. I love hanging out with friends.

Núria Martin.

Hi, I’m Núria Martin, and I’m 15 years old. I live in Martorell, a little town near Barcelona. I’m from Spain. I have always lived in Martorell. It’s a beautiful place. My hobbies are drama and music. I do drama all Thursdays and I want to be an actress. I listen to music everywhere. I love drawing and I think that my drawings are nice. I’m always at the street with my friends, and I love them.

Héctor Naranjo.

Héctor Naranjo

Hello everybody! I’m Héctor Naranjo Gàmez, but you can call me Héctor. I’m a Spanish and Catalan boy who studies at Pompeu Fabra High School in Martorell, my dear town. I love music in general: Rock, Jazz, Pop, Techno, Folk music... I really like “How I met your mother” series, I have two favourite actors, one is white (Neil Patrick Harris) and the other is black (Will Smith). I’m blue and brown belt in Taekwondo. I like speaking English and French, meeting my friends, playing videogames, Ancient Greek and climbing trees. And it’s important to know that I’m an actor.

Hello! My name is Aleix and I’m 15. I also live in Martorell. I’m musician, I play the clarinet, the bass clarinet and the bass. I like listen to any kind of music ( rock, heavy, indie-rock, punk, jazz,…) and I like to go to conecerts with my friends. I also like hanging out with friends and I like photography and cinema. My favorites music bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes and a lot of rock bands. I like travel around the world and this is a great opportunity for meet new people and visit anothers countries, I’ll enjoy it!

Our School

IES POMPEU FABRA Main entrance  Pompeu Fabra high school is situated in a

little town called Martorell, near Barcelona, so we can go to Barcelona frequently. 

The first time we heard the word “Comenius” we knew that it would be an exciting experience. And now we are happier knowing that we’ll travel to Praga, Brno and Kloubouky.We love the idea of travelling, meeting people, and knowing about their costumes and country and… improving our English level.

About our participation in the Comenius project, in our high school we celebrate a lot of events, like St. Jordi’s day, a typical tradition of Catalonia. In St. Jordi’ s day we do a lot of activities about literature and there are often concerts of young musicians from Martorell. Sometimes some guys make shows, and there are literature contests. We also celebrate carnival. Last year we made a ‘lip dub’ (all of us dressed up as people from different periods of history and we filmed it).
