DRAGON FLIGHT LATE START CARE Option #1: $25.00 (Care from 7:00am – First Bell)

*Dragon Flight registration fee required.* (If you have already paid the registration fee for before/after school care, you

will not be charged this fee again.)

Option #2: $20.00 (Care from 8:15am – First Bell)

(No registration fee required)

With this option, students will not be allowed into Dragon Flight until 8:15am due to state rules and regulations.

All students must be signed in by a parent or guardian.

There will be a $10.00 drop in fee for all registrations made after the Friday prior to. November registration deadline

without drop in fee is October 28th. There will not be a drop in charge for September.

DESTINATION MARS: ROCKETRY COURSE: Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into

the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of

varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate

basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also

hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on

Mars. Do you have the right stuff? NOTE: Parents will be asked to contribute two, 2 liter soda

bottles (empty) for 2 different experiments.

Extreme LEGO: Clowns and Cranes New and returning students welcome. You read it right. Build a clown face and use pulleys to rotate his facial expressions from happy, to sad, to knocked out. Build a crane and use it to hoist other LEGO projects. Students build multiple LEGO projects and use those projects to investigate basic pulleys concepts including: direction of rotation, increased speed, a fixed pulleys, movable pulleys system, and compound pulleys. We may even try to build the world’s longest conveyor belt made of LEGOs at the last class! How cool is that?

PROJECT RUNWAY Step into fall with style! Make and take home your very own wrap skirt, chapstick key chain holder and an infinity scarf. Add some personal flair to a pair of jeans that we’ll up-cycle into a gardening apron and denim purse. No experience necessary. We’ll show you all you need to know. Students will make the aforementioned projects while learning sewing basics including: how to safely use a sewing machine, cutting patterns to size, hand-stitching techniques and accessorizing. Since 1995, Renaissance Adventures has offered award-winning quests and birthday

parties in Adventure Quest, an active, outdoor fantasy roleplaying game designed to

develop critical thinking, teamwork, problem solving, and other 21st century skills.

Students create a character, such as a Knight, Shapeshifter, Healer, or others. Then

they work together to overcome diverse challenges, solve riddles and mysteries, forge

peace treaties, and battle foes using safe foam swords to save the kingdom!

The 100-Mile Club is Back!! Come join us for the third year of running club. Last year we had 292 people register and ran over 11,000 miles. Let's top that this year!

The 100 Mile Club is a club open to all students at Flagstaff Academy. The 100 Mile Club gets students moving before, during, and after school with the end goal of reaching 100 miles by the end of the year. Students are welcome to come to any and all practices! In order for 100-mile club to be successful we are in need of parent volunteers. Please sign-up to help!
