Moon Viewing The Lake County Astronomical Society members will be on hand with their powerful telescopes to view the Moon. Weather permitting. 7-9pm Mon., Sep. 12 (NR) A Lab Aloft: The International Space Station The ISS is a cutting-edge Earth-orbiting laboratory where astronauts live for six months at a time and conduct amazing experiments. Take a peek into this engineering marvel led by the Adler Planetarium’s Michelle Nichols. 7-8pm Tues., Oct. 4 (R) Space Lab Create a constellation, explore moon sand and play with galaxy dough. (registration begins Dec. 1) 10am Fri., Dec. 9 for ages 3-5 accompanied by an adult 3:45pm Mon., Dec. 12 for accompanied children ages 6-8 Animals in the Night Sky Find animal constellations in the night sky in The Discovery Center Museum’s portable planetarium.
