Key learning point: Prepositions (adverbials for place)
Writing: 3rd person narrative.
Description: Plan and write a 3rd person narrative focussing on the chase scene after the tribesman escapes from the hunter and is chased around the camp.
Plan:
Hunter realises that the
tribesman has escaped.
Chasing across the camp under the moonlight.
The hunter corners the
tribesman by the hole.
The hunter is enraged after light flashed in
his face.
The hunter runs into the cage and is
trapped.
Narrative to include the following:
Paragraph for each section of your plan. Accurate punctuation - full stops, capital letters, commas. Adventurous vocabulary – verbs, adverbs, adjectives chosen carefully for
maximum effect. Prepositions/adverbials for place (could be fronted) Vary sentence openers to avoid repetition. Reread work to edit and up level where necessary.
Here is an example:
As the hunter relaxed proudly into his chair, a quick glimpse of the chain and padlock around the post filled his body with rage. The rage flooded his veins throughout his entire colossal frame knocking him to the floor from his chair. The tribesman had escaped! Charging out into the cold, night air, the hunter bounded after the miniature shadow up ahead.
